Oliver North on Fox just said the only thing about the Iraq war that resembles the Vietnam war, and he pointed out that he has been to both, it the caliber of the bullets!!!
Isn't it ironic that a lot of the polling places were schools---the schools were the main hide-outs of the ammunition when the troops first went into Iraq---now they have ballots instead of bullets!!!

I guess this is as good a time as any to post this:
Today has been both difficult and heartening to me, RVN 1968-1969, because the people of South Vietnam deserved the same US governmental resolve as was given to the people of Iraq.
I think Ollie might have oversimplified, the kids serving today aren't 'better' than the kids serving then, but they are sure as hell serving a better America and an America in which at least 51% have learned that it takes more to lead than good intentions and high popularity ratings.
