Jamie Rubin who is on Fox ...just compared todays Iraqi election to the Nazis winning an election. He was laughing about his snide comment.

This is why I had to turn the television off. This is such a happy day and I will NOT let them ruin it.

Hope you don't hate me for this....I am spamming this info to try to get it out there so it eventually hits the blogs:

FYI, AFGHANISTAN'S TURNOUT.....IN A MUCH LESS HOSTILE ENVIRONMENT:

"Despite violence leading up the election in Afghanistan, more than 70 percent of those eligible voted there."

TURNOUT IS COMPARABLE TO Afghanistan (there were no exact numbers placed, only estimates for Afghanistan it appears)...from 70-80 percent there. This is a HUGE victory for 72 percent to occur in Iraq, a country filled with much more violence than Afghanistan.

Huge.

Iraq's elections were a resounding success.

Glad you're with us today....
It just occurred to me...Do you remember a time before FR, a time when we were the "silent majority"...A time when people were afraid to speak out because they weren't sure how their neighbors felt and didn't want to offend anyone or appear on the edge....Then we realized we weren't alone.

Today, in Iraq,we can multiply that feeling by 100s. The people now know they are not alone....The vote has united them, given them a voice and will empower them to stand tall.....

It's more than an election...It's a change of attitude....an enlightenment.

Is this a sign (proof) that we have a signicant number of the terrorist scum leaders in custody?

I read an e-mail from a Major in Baghdad who is saying there has been major progress in the last months, claims the terrorists are mainly using their third stringers now.

Great news

Shep Smith just asked Geraldo about the people (read dems) that have been saying that the Iraqis are gaining democracy only at the point of a gun---saying that US is FORCING democracy on the Iraqis--

Geraldo---"That is a load of crap!" That was his answer verbatim. He then said that he had been with the voters and they all were ecstatic about this opportunity, and the bravery they have shown should not be discounted by the naysayers!!!

He got really hot under the sports-collar!!!

I feel proud and touched to be able to watch them experience these feelings, don't you?

I was optimistic but didnt expect this high of a turnout considering the risks to the Iraqi voters.

These people deserve freedom more than I do.

Iraqis showed the world what they are made of today and it is one beautiful sight to behold.

I almost walked out this morning when our minister said we must pray for the brave voters and our troops in Iraq even tho "some are questioning the legitimacy of this election". Actually I wanted to stand up and ask if he was one of the "some" because we know who they all are, including the swimmer from Massachusetts, "Mr. Hair" of Boston and the rest. But I will ask him personally.

Did these same people question the legitimacy of the hundreds of thousands tortured and killed, the cutting off of hands? I'm beginning to think these aren't really people but E.T.'s without a soul. Guess that's not P.C.--how about without a conscience?

How do you get this crazy? From Dummies Underground:
If every Iraqi voted, it still wouldn't be a legitimate election, because it is being held under occupation (or, if you prefer, "sovereign government" repression) and therefore it is being held under coercion. And even if the election was legitimate, the government resulting would be forced to bend knee to US power anyway, because of US domination of Iraq's economy and the continued US military presence. This is not "democracy." This is imperial rule.

Is there any doubt in anyone's mind that if Kerry won, the same naysayers would today be shouting for joy, and saying things like "Kerry wins, and the Iraqis came out in droves to vote as a sign of supporting HIS vision of Iraq over Bush's!"?

Just saw a preview of Neil Cavuto this afternoon--he is having an American soldier that was terribly burned in Iraq--Linda Vester has had him on her show before, he is so great. He has an upbeat attitude and doesn't seem one bit bitter about what has happened.

Watching this man MAY take away any yuck left our brains from the Kerry interview---he he

This morning at church I wasn't really prepared..SO winging it just open the hymnal for the offertory.... It opened to:

We've a story to tell to the nations, that shall turn their hearts to the right, a story of truth and mercy, a story of peace and light.

For the darkness shall turn to the dawning and the dawning to noonday bright; And Christ's great kingdom shall come on earth the kingdom of love and light

Hadn't realize what I'd done till the preacher started singing along. You can't tell me the Holy Spirit doesn't have his hand in this...

I am so glad that Fox sent Shep Smith to Iraq---he was so good during the beginning of the war but had become very skeptical and even negative about it---

Now, everytime he comes on, he is really enthusiastic about what the troops have accomplished and how great this is for the Iraqis---

Nothing like seeing things up close and personal to wipe away the left's propaganda!!!!

Do you think that if Kerry had won, this election would have happened today?

Or, would his good buddy Kennedy gotten his ear and had him bring troops home?

Makes ya wanna go, hmmmmmmmm
