Iraqi Voting Disrupts News Reports of Bombings
Scrapple Face ^ | 1/30/05 | Scott Ott

News reports of terrorist bombings in Iraq were marred Sunday by shocking graphic images of Iraqi "insurgents" voting by the millions in their first free democratic election.

Despite reporters' hopes that a well-orchestrated barrage of mortar attacks and suicide bombings would put down the so-called 'freedom insurgency', hastily-formed battalions of rebels swarmed polling places to cast their ballots -- shattering the status quo and striking fear into the hearts of the leaders of the existing terror regime.

Hopes for a return to the stability of tyranny waned as rank upon rank of Iraqi men and women filed out of precinct stations, each armed with the distinctive mark of the new freedom guerrillas -- an ink-stained index finger, which one former Ba'athist called "the evidence of their betrayal of 50 years of Iraqi tradition."

Journalists struggled to put a positive spin on the day's events, but the video images of tyranny's traitors choosing a future of freedom overwhelmed the official story of bloodshed and mayhem.

An ink-stained finger marks an Iraqi woman as one of "tyranny's traitors."

I think the middle finger should have been 'inked'. This would have sent an additional message to the terrorists.

Mr. Scott nailed it.

It has been joy to watch the sheepish expressions of the liberal biased news channels and their chattering heads as they comment on the good voting news out of Iraq.

One wonders what B'ch Boxer and I'ot Kennedy will have to say about the election.

IRAQ THE MODEL
Sunday, January 30, 2005

The people have won.

[snip]

I walked forward to my station, cast my vote and then headed to the box, where I wanted to stand as long as I could, then I moved to mark my finger with ink, I dipped it deep as if I was poking the eyes of all the world's tyrants. I put the paper in the box and with it, there were tears that I couldn't hold; I was trembling with joy and I felt like I wanted to hug the box but the supervisor smiled at me and said "brother, would you please move ahead, the people are waiting for their turn".

Yes brothers, proceed and fill the box!

These are stories that will be written on the brightest pages of history.

CNN will be running tapes of the last three Super Bowls, since there is no news to report today.

Maybe the insurgents can demand a recount. With (continuing) help from the Dems they should be able to find enough casualties to nullify the elections.

Too funny.

One inspiring story from Fox last night....

Vehicle travel was prohibited, so when the poll at Abu Grav didn't open.........voters would have to travel 13 miles by foot to vote.

First a trickle....and it grew and grew as thousands began walking the 13 miles to participate in the democratic process. God Bless em all.

Meanwhile, some in Ohio are upset having to stand in a line for what they thought was too long. LOL

It wasn't about standing in line.

It was about claiming disenfranchisement so they could overturn the election.

What an excellent idea. That would have been great. Then every picture we saw of an Iraqi displaying his/her ink-stained finger would have been telling the terrorists and the nay-sayers where to get off.

The New Democratic Iraq Born!

No more 99.99 % in Iraq!
This is the figure of the Arabs' dictators except Saddam!
He used to get 100%!

Surprisingly those who voted for the master of the mass graves are abstaining now!

Our voting is:
No to the terrorists!
No to the dictatorships!
No to hate and racism!
No to the fascists!
No to the Nazis!
No to the mentally retarded tyrants!
No to the ossified, narrow-minded and intolerants!

The Iraqis are voting in few hours time for the new Iraq.

We are going to create our future by ourselves not by dictators.

We are going to say:
Yes for the freedom and democracy!
Yes for the civilized Iraq!
Yes for peace and prosperity!
Yes for coexistence!
Yes for the New Iraq!

Let them bomb and kill us. It will not deter us!
Let them send their dogs to suck our bones. We care not!
Let them bark. It will not frighten us.
Let them see how civilised to be free and democratic!
Let them die by our vote tomorrow! It is the magic bullet which will kill them!

Welcome New Iraq.
Welcome freedom and democracy.
Welcome peace and prosperity for all nations with out exception but terrorists!

"It was about claiming disenfranchisement so they could overturn the election."

Precisely. Which, in view of what these Iraqi's are willing to endure and risk jut to vote makes it all look so silly.
