More cyber jihad: Faith Freedom forums hacked
A message at Faith Freedom (thanks to Norwegian Kafir):
The FFI forum is temporarily unavailable.
Someone probably gained admin privileges in the forum via a security vulnerability in phpBB. To prevent further damage, the script has been taken off-line.
The forum will be back when the extent of the damage has been determined and phpBB's holes fixed. Everything should be ready at 4 PM GMT, possibly sooner.
This is not the first instance of this sort of thing.

"Copts fear Christian conversion sparked unsolved murders"

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Evangelical Christians in the United States have reason to keep an eye on the murder investigation of four Coptic Christians slain last month in New Jersey. Family members who viewed the bodies say they suspect the brutal slayings were a warning not to proselytize to Muslims. They say that the body of Sylvia Armanious was clearly the most viciously attacked in the killings, causing them to wonder if it was because she was too vocal in sharing her faith.
"Sylvia talked about Jesus to everyone," her uncle Ayman Garas said. "She was extremely religious."
On Jan. 14, the bodies of Amal Garas, 37, her husband, Hossam Armanious, 47, and their daughters, Sylvia, 15, and Monica, 8, were found in their home bound and gagged, with puncture wounds to their throats. The unsolved murders were thrust into the spotlight again earlier this month, when the relatives of the victims went to Washington, D.C., to meet with lawmakers and hold a press conference on their concerns about the case.
"We aren't looking for trouble, we are just looking for the facts," Emil Garas, an uncle of one of the victims, said."
Dear Lord,
Please watch over AD as he
works on getting well.
Thank you Jesus.
Amen.

"Missing French journalist in Iraq begs for help on video [Female]"
Expatica ^ | March 1, 2005 | AFP

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "BAGHDAD, March 1 (AFP) - French journalist Florence Aubenas, missing for nearly two months in Iraq, on Tuesday made a desperate plea for help on a video broadcast, saying her health was "very bad."
"I am French. I am a journalist with Liberation. Please help me. My health is very bad. I'm very bad psychologically also," the gaunt and exhausted-looking journalist pleaded in English on the undated video, of which AFP obtained a copy.
The 50-second film showed the veteran reporter for the left-wing daily wearing a pale long-sleeved top, seated on the floor with her knees bent against her chest.
It was the first confirmation that Aubenas was alive since she and her Iraqi translator Hussein Hanun al-Saadi - who is also still missing but was not shown on the tape - were last seen leaving their Baghdad hotel on January 5.
Another foreign reporter in Iraq, Giuliana Sgrena of Italy's Il Manifesto, was kidnapped early February in Baghdad and later appeared in a video begging for her life.
About 170 foreigners have been kidnapped in Iraq over the past year. More than 30 have been killed and the rest were released or escaped."

RE Songs of Praise - I saved them to my Favorite Places. Thanks Cindy, what a cool find!
I heard about that I can't believe it. Isn't Maine too cold for those people? Are they all on welfare?
I'm celebrating St. Patricks Day too. This one will be the 42nd anniversary of the day my husband and I met. In less than two years we were married. The name "Love" is Irish and that's pretty Celtic!
Ongoing prayers for Appalachian_dweller! Can hardly wait til he is back with us 100%. Sorry to hear about the pneumonia and especially hoping he is taking it easy and not overdoing it, especially with the influenza and cold weather back East. :)
You're very welcome.

That is odd. I wonder why they destroyed an, I assume, perfectly good airplane.

Drug Trafficker?
I hope it wasn't another INNOCENT missionary.
Thank you very much for posting this detailed information. It is incredibly horrible what Muslims do to those who convert out of Islam. We all hear about it, but reading those personal stories is heart rending. What brave souls to risk so much to love Jesus Christ.
I used to be tolerant of Islam - I even have two Korans I tried to read (didn't get far, too boring, years ago) but I am now extremely intolerant. As far as I am concerned, all Muslims should convert.
"What brave souls to risk so much to love Jesus Christ."
Yep.
Well, the article said drugs/terrorism. But, the plane landed fine (according to the article) so why destroy it? Seems odd.
Iraq tribunal judge assassinated
http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/english/doc/2005-03/02/content_421044.htm
Updated: 2005-03-02 10:43
An investigating judge in the trial of deposed Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein has been assassinated, according to the Associated Press.
U.S. officials originally said Judge Raid Juhi, had been killed, but another judge one of dozens was murdered. Details on the assassination and that judge's identity were not immediately available.
Saddam is on trial for war crimes and genocide. The former dictator appeared before a special tribunal in July, where the charges against him were read.
Juhi quite famously stared down a defiant Saddam in the July 1 hearing, firmly reminding the "Butcher of Baghdad" that he was the former, not current, leader of Iraq.
Juhi, who was also presiding over the criminal trials of 11 of Saddam's henchmen, has been living and working under U.S. and Iraqi military protection.
While an obvious target for assassination, Juhi refused to hide in anonymity. In an interview with the New York Times last October, he explained: "There is something very good in Iraqis being able to see that Saddam is gone and that he and other members of his regime now have to face the authority of a judge, of an ordinary man like me.
