What FReeper artist can design the cover for uncleshag/DFU album -- YOU'VE BEEN FREEPED, VOL. 1

For those who haven't heard, uncleshag will be in the studio in early Feb. to record a parody album. Along with my compositions, Mudboy Slim has agreed to contribute a few of his great songs.

We will eviscerate Bill, Hillary, Michael Moore, the mainstream media, Ted Kennedy, Boxer, Biden, etc. We will salute soldiers, the SwiftVets, and gun owners.

If any FReeper artists would like to design the cover, uncleshag and I would be grateful. Unfortunately, it will not be a paying gig, but you will get credit for it.

Download this MP3 for a sample of uncleshag's talent -- ONE FINE SOLDIER

Sample lyrics from one of the songs:

Mary Jo, you're cute as a model
Will you pass one more Chevas bottle
You'll see when I step on the throttle it will be surreal
It is always an adventure in my hot Oldsmobile

I detest that man.

The lyric, of course, is great. The man...I detest.

Among those we parody will be John Lennon, a Broadway musical, Frankie Valle, Billy Joel, Barry McGuire, Don McClean, Don Hendley, Simon and Garfunkel, and Helen Reddy.

I'll give it a go and post the result. Hey -- why not make it a contest? Pick one entry for this album, and runners-up for Vols. 2,3 and unto infinity?

Doug, with your talent and imagination, you could turn this venture into a profitable enterprise. Rush plays a lot of parodies by Paul Shanklin, and they are funny as hell.

In my mind's eye, parodies are the best way to prove to the sheeple how absurd some statments by politicians really are. It's one hell of a damn good delivery system.

If I had your talent and creative gifts, I'd participate with you on this endeavor. (I'm lucky if I can draw a straight line with a straight edge).

Do you have any ideas for how you'd like it t look? Real? Surreal? Techno? Parody?

I went to Penn State for Art in the late 80s early 90s, got fed up with the program 30 some odd credits short of the degree. If you don't come across anyone I could give it a whack. Get a few of us on it, exchanging ideas and I'm sure something cool will come out of it. I'll be back on later, just doing a quick sweep for now.

I discussed it a little with uncleshag. We are hoping you can give us some creative ideas. FReepers are creative, after all.

These folks and more would be in a hot-air baloon gondala, and the baloon would be: Michael Moore, who else!

Ooooooh - ooooooh: Perhaps we could incorporate an Olds into this with a smiling Ted Kennedy holding a bottle of Scotch.

Hey,this is fun.
