Fallujah has a pop. of roughly 300,000

Iraq has a pop. 25,374,691 (July 2004 est.)

per CIA World factbook

6 percent of the population hardly makes for a failed election.

Especially if those 6 % are voting as we speak.

The lefties will never acknowledge a good thing.

Also on CNN: Al-Jazeera has been banned from Iraq for 6 months and the network is for sale. I think the news reader said that because of pressure from the Bush Admin. the sale has been moved ahead of schedule. Interesting development.

Anyone catch Anderson Cooper on CNN a while ago? He was reporting on the possibility that one of the mornings homicide bombers may have been someone afflicted by Down's Syndrome. Cooper was both shocked and appalled that terrorists (my word, not his) would use someone with that affliction to committ murder for them.

Shocked and appalled. Where the heck has Cooper been?

LOL! I like the black ink on the thumb thing. We should do that here--absentee ballots would have a place to ink your thumb, vote doesn't count without it....then no double voting by also going to the polls.

How about this Newsweek reporter they're talking to on Fox. He said the election was going better than he expected and boy did he look depressed!

I imagine there are some hatemongers at DU who are freaking out that Al-Zarqawi hasn't personally beheaded 100,000 voters live on T.V.

CAIRO, Egypt (AP) Web site statement purportedly from insurgency leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's group has claimed responsibility for election-day attacks in Iraq.

I'm sure this will make him very popular with all of those Iraqis voting today.

CNN was just saying Iraqi voter turnout in the US was terrible. That means failure b/c if they wouldn't vote in America why would they really show up in Iraq.

Man they are so stupid.

Well, you see, President Bush is a better person and a wiser leader than I would be. I thought we should simply send a covert team in to bomb their headquarters into oblivion.

"The sacrifice of the young men and women of the military has not been in vain. Democracy is growing in Iraq like a tree. Their blood is in the soil of a democratic Iraq today."

Good for that Iraqi guy! I hope he shut that stupid, perky-blonde liberal reporter right up.

Al Jazeera is also losing alot of money. They can't seem to sell much advertising. Apparently Al Quiada doesn't feel any need to pay for something they are already getting for free.

A lot of parallels between this election and the 1982 El Salvador election. I'm sure someone has already alluded to this.
