It is now 3 am in Iraq the polls will be opening in the next few hours as the world watches and hold's it breath. Iraq is about to undertake a historic vote.
Lets wish them well....... please post all comments and election photos to this thread.

Hey, gush away! BTW, Dr. Bill compared FNC and CNN. I'm cable-deprived tonight (but not DSL deprived!). I'm editing (and posting for relaxation) while listening.
He just slammed Barbara Lee for saying the elections shouldn't have been helf because they're not perfect. He's giving a historical perspective of how free societies struggle to their feet. Wish I could call, but can't tonight.
The Iraqi holding foisting both thumbs up in utter jubilation was really wonderful to see.
Bush is not a late night man... even when he won the election he went to sleep before 2:00am..
As much as I think the President loves this whole process, from what I've read about his bedtime hours....he's long asleep, lol!

If we are this excited, think about how Bush feels. He has been hammered about this being a "quagmire". He can see them voting (if he's still up) and knows it's working!
