It is now 3 am in Iraq the polls will be opening in the next few hours as the world watches and hold's it breath. Iraq is about to undertake a historic vote.
Lets wish them well....... please post all comments and election photos to this thread.
Journalists are reporting hearing lots of booms from mortar attacks.
Personally, I don't foresee these being a huge problem though a "lucky" shot that kills a bunch of people is, of course, possible. With all the air surveillance and other security, these will have to be scoot and run mortar attacks. I doubt they're well-aimed. They're mostly designed for the "boom" effect on the journalists listening and reporting, I think.
lmao.........warn me, will you?
Geraldo's rooting for the defeat of the terrorists...and, he's not hiding it.
Good for him!
Will Jesse and the Dems demand the polls stay open extra long "so everybody that wants to can vote??? Hmmmm? Hello, Democrats?
I do not believe that any that I listed was the same as the Western Baghdad bombing. The Western Baghdad bombing was reported to be at a checkpoint killing the police guard there.
Polling station 301, Shepard Smith reported is where some of our Marines are located. Polling station 303, I believe S. Smith reported more than one casulty. He also mentioned another explosion somewhere along the Tigris River.
Apparently they're still voting in the American elections.
He's definitely engaged, shall we say.
I'll volunteer to watch them commit suicide.
"Hello, this is Christianne Amanpour, and when I would go on a date, ALL of my gentleman callers would wear a pair of these: Stevie Wonder sunglasses. You'll be as blind as a moonbat wearing Stevie Wonders, and if you're on a date with me, you'll be grateful! As an added bonus, they act as a disguise so your friends won't know it's you out with a woman who looks like she's just spent a day digging for dung beetles!"
He is excited, that is for sure. But I enjoy their excitement and his comments that the turn out, the people showing up to vote, is the real story.
I am not the biggest Geraldo fan, but isn't it nice to see a newsperson optomistic and genuine about his happiness for the people of Iraq and the US military that made this possible for them---
this reporting he is doing tonight is real and refreshing after all of the gloom and doom we normally see--
Shep Smith is also showing some real emotion about this like he did when we first went into Iraq---I used to love to watch him when he was talking to his best friend Rick Leventhal during his exploits in the sandstorm---it was great.
I think Geraldo is doing exactly the opposite of what the libs and MSM want him to do---and THAT in my book is perfect!
yup.......tonight....Geraldo's a pistol.........
I got question is Geraldo half Jewish or covert to Judism LOL!
I got question is Geraldo half Jewish or covert to Judism LOL!
Yeppers he said that....and "the terrorists are not going to win."
David Lee Miller, Foxnews reports some noise in Mosul, could be Mortars but getting a good turnout where he is, a positive report!
** Watch the women ** - they make up more than 50% of the population in Iraq because so many men have been lost, the first person to vote in Afghanistan was a young woman, they want better lives for themselves and their children, their lives are so hard they are willing to face a lot to vote, it is hard for a terrorist or insurgent to shoot an unarmed woman even in their culture I would think.
Well, maybe it a liberal (Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie) sense he's hot. At any rate, he is great when he gets like this. The military probably think he is crazy (good crazy!!) I'm sure they'd rather hang with Geraldo than Anderson Cooper or Amanpour.
Shepard Smith just reported other casulties at other locations.
