Jan. 28 - When Hillary Clinton spoke out publicly in 1993 about the importance of faith in coming to terms with her fathers death, she was criticized for bringing religion into the public square. It was her first year as First Lady, and she was unprepared for the cultural dissonance she generated as a lawyer and outspoken policy activist married to the president. Everything she did provoked a backlash.
Fast forward to 2005 and the most controversial first lady of modern times is a sedate senator from New York talking about finding common ground with abortion foes. Like Moses leading her party to the Promised Land, Hillary is treading a path to Red-State America. She may be the darling of the liberal left, but she won in New York by appealing to upstate voters who are traditionally Republican. Forty of the states 62 counties were carried by George W. Bush...

Hillary has adopted her husbands gift of framing issues in a commonsense way that reaches across the liberal-conservative divide.
Eleanor has her eyes on the prize: WH press secretary in 2009. Hopefully, she'll be too used up by then.

Hillary's religious oratory rarely matches her actions, hence the criticisms.

rarely matches her actions
Exactly. I don't think anyone, even Leftists, are buying this garbage for a second. The Left knows she's lying, so they are not disturbed by her sudden piety.
She attends The Church of Hillary!, and everyone knows it.

Is Elanor still posing as an objective "journalist" or is she now clearly labeled a commentator?

LOL. Nice attempt at rewriting history, though, Eleanor.

...she was criticized for bringing religion into the public square.I remember one year when the Hildabeast wished everyone a Happy Ramadan, but no Merry Christmas. The Beast brings it upon herself...
(Oh, and timpad, for future reference, the official barf alert should be brought to everyone in Technicolor...)

God did not allow Moses to enter the Promised Land because of his sins. Neither will Hilary.

Regardless of her political activities, anytime I think about Hillary, I think of her reaction when Bill got caught w Monica Lewinsky. He betrayed her right under her own nose. Instead of standing up for herself and being strong, she sat back and accepted his bad behavior to further her own political agenda. How can a person like that be trusted in a position of power?

That is one scary pic you posted, one can see the quest for world domination in those there eyes.
I didn't read the article, as I cannot stand Ms. Clift and don't want to get sick on such a fine, sunny Saturday. As one poster mentioned, I'll bet she is looking for press sec. in a Hillary! administration.

Wonder if Eleanor Clift has read Barbara Olsen's Hell to Pay or The Final Days. Somehow I doubt it.
