Just an idea. Comments Accepted Please?
You must be the CEO of a power company.
Kinda short notice to orchestrate that.
bright idea.
Thanks for reminding me that my porch light is burned out. :-)
I will do it--great idea. It will also be interesting, because of the short notice, to see how many, if any, take part.
Nice, kind of like the lights on for Ronald Reagan thing. However maybe a more fitting tribute would be to attend a peace rally tomorrow (world peace day) with a sign saying something like:
"Iraqi Elections, Brought You By War!
Support Our Troops"
I'd do it, but my porchlight is on a motion sensor. I'd have to run outside every 2 minutes to make it effective. I can leave my living room light on for a few hours though.
Thank you Trout. You got it!!!
I think so. It will definitely affect things. Things like this cause change. You don't want to be against change, do you. If you don't, who will. When the tough get going, get an Uzi.
It would be even neater if you told us a little bit about yourself and how you came up with bright (NoPun Intended) idea.
Do our front porch light mean that we stand with Commrad Teddy's demand to bring the troops home NOW.?
Please advise.
WTF? You the poster child for planned parethood?
Living room light works. Just remember to keep your drapes open. Thank you.
subtle. real subtle.
;^)
You have to WORK to understand a LazamaPost.
Motel 6 is already on board the program. They'll leave the light on.
My outside lights come on at dark every night as a matter of security. I don't think it's an obvious enough gesture. Lots of outside lights are normal.
You're not serious, are you?
This is the silliest thing I've heard in some time.
Here's an even better idea:
Make a few phone calls, find a family in your area that has the main breadwinner off the job and over in iraq.
Give them $100 and offer to do anything you're capable of to help them.
And I'm sure everyone will know that it's in support of the Iraqi elections, not because you leave the yard light on anyway...
"Comments Accepted Please?"
I don't know. Will they really be accepted, and by whom?
