SAN ANTONIO -- Valley authorities are on alert tonight after the FBI San Antonio office receives "credible information" of a threat to kidnap agents and kill them.

The Gulf Cartel is believed to have massed armed men, with visas and passports, along the border to come into the United States and kidnap two FBI agents.

There are rumors and true events that you hear about living on the border --- if you talk with Mexicans. It's funny because most of the Americans living here could care less, it's pretty peaceful on the USA side. One of the cleaning ladies was telling me about a drug lord going into a night club with his woman friend --- very attractive. He left the table for a few minutes and some guys started flirting with her --- apparently just harmless flirting. The drug lord saw it, then the nightclub owner told the 4 men to leave and be very careful but to get the heck away. They did but were gunned down on the street while leaving. I checked the Mexican newspaper --- and sure enough --- there was an article about 4 men getting hit in a drive-by shooting after leaving a night club.

Other interesting rumors --- Amado Carrillo Fuentes they say is still alive --- that the 4 plastic surgeons who supposedly killed in in a lipid suctioning procedure and not much later were found executed on the side of a highway really had done a different procedure on him to give him a new appearance so he could avoid arrest. In Mexico --- anything is possible.

It is always more politically correct to go after the sellers than the buyers.

Because one big reason --- the pro-drug crowd always wants to paint the drug user as a harmless defenseless sort of individual. They'll wring their hands and sob for the innocent pot heads sitting around in prison for nothing more than passing a joint. They will say go after the dealers but leave the sweet drug users alone.

Today the El Presidente's office issued a statement [paraphrased] that the USA should stay OUT of their business!

Not surprising --- because drug trafficking is their business. No one can honestly believe that Vicente Fox and his cohorts nor the opposing political party in Mexico seriously want the flow of money from narcotrafficking slowed down in any way. That makes for some big hefty mordidas.

It's like they sing in the narco-corridas "Los Pinos me da sombra" --- The Mexican White House provides me protection.

One important piece of advice --- if you're driving near the border or anywhere near it --- don't drive a vehicle a drug cartel member or family member of one of them might drive --- drug cartels are pretty careful to get the right target -- but every now and then there is a case of mistaken identity. That means you're safer if you drive an affordable car.

Your people are the exception then. For everyone else, blaming people who sell drugs for their use of drugs is like fat people blaming McDonalds.

It's a freely made personal choice.

Aired 1/28/05 LOU DOBBS CNN

DOBBS: Later here, Senator Dianne Feinstein will join me. She's proposed new legislation intended to hold the federal government responsible for the immigration crisis in this country -- at least part of it. Senator Feinstein will be our guest.

Some states in this country are allowing illegal aliens now to use a government identification number to obtain driver's licenses, voter identification cards and even home loans. These identification cards were created for use only by the Internal Revenue Service. Now some states are using those cards as a way to grant illegal aliens the benefits of U.S. citizenship.

CHRISTINE ROMANS, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): Here in Milwaukee, Mitchell Bank is one of several Wisconsin banks where illegal aliens can get mortgages.

All it takes is an individual taxpayer identification number, an ITIN, given out by the Internal Revenue Service. That number is meant to collect income taxes from people without Social Security numbers.

But Wisconsin's Housing Authority is going a step further, letting illegal aliens use the number to get a mortgage. They say they're just serving a growing market.

ROMANS: Critics say the program rewards law breakers.

GLENN GROTHMAN, WISCONSIN STATE SENATE: It just makes a mockery of our laws, and it is an insult not only to American citizens, but it's an insult to the employees of our immigration service, and it's an insult to anybody who appears foolishly to try to wait patiently in line to come into this country legally.

ROMANS: The program is recognized by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago who says most banks understand that illegal aliens are in a "peculiar position." Still, the IRS position is clear. The ITIN is to be used for tax purposes only. The IRS has issued at least seven million ITIN numbers since 1996. It was so nervous about abuse of the numbers, it's warned governors and state motor vehicle departments that ITINs were not designed to serve as personal identification and should not be used for driver's licenses.

Still, across this country, illegal aliens are using these cards, and at least five states are accepting them.

DOBBS: I'm all but speechless. The moronic posturing by people on this immigration crisis is just -- it's stunning. The mentality. I mean, how do you explain people sitting there in the Housing Authority basically postulating as if they were holding forth for a national policy and just ignoring a set of rules and laws and regulations that have been on the books for years.

ROMANS: Well, Lou, the press officer for WHEDA, the Wisconsin Housing Authority, told me he's as illegal as illegal aliens because when he was 7, he stole with his brother a candy bar. He broke a law. He's illegal. That's equivalent to this. He thinks that it's a reality, that there are 10 million illegal aliens in this country. It's a market that needs to be served.

DOBBS: And that's the kind of mentality that we're dealing with. Hard-working people in this country, many of them immigrants -- legal immigrants -- having to deal with this, and a government that is just seeing fit at the state and federal level to ignore the law and the wellbeing of the country.

That brings us to the subject of our poll tonight. The question is: Do you believe state governments should allow illegal aliens to use a government identification number to obtain rights intended for U.S. citizens? Yes or no. Cast your vote at loudobbs.com. We wouldn't blame you if you added a few comments in point of fact with that vote.

Just like the gangsters choose to mow people down in the streets. It's their freely made choice. At least the addicts are only hurting themselves.

It would be much easier and cheaper in the long run to just MOAB where they grow the stuff. It's not like the countries that profit from it haven't had years of failure, help, and warning.

It's even stupider for drug dealers to blame drug users for their own addiction to violence and money. Mexico is actually trying to blame drug users in the USA --- not that they don't have plenty of their own drug users to blame --- for the violence that is destroying Mexico. Blame it on the pot head, the extremely violent Mexicans certainly are not to blame for anything.

I didn't used to believe that a pusher would give free drugs --- until I met quite a few people who actually did have drugs put into their drinks or offered to them. A lot of cocaine addicts didn't have to pay anything for their first couple of doses.

"I met quite a few people who actually did have drugs put into their drinks or offered to them."

Put in their drinks? That's rape, it isn't a marketing tactic. How do you meet so many people who've had drugs slipped into their drinks?

.

"A lot of cocaine addicts didn't have to pay anything for their first couple of doses. "

And how many doses does a pusher have to give them before they are helplessly addicted for life?

What people don't understand is that it's deadly to cross the drug mafia.
The Mexicans talk about it among themselves and to people they trust, but they're not going to say anything to the BP. They don't trust the BP.
They and their whole family might wake up dead tomorrow morning.

#87 - EVEN THE LIBERALS GET IT! - ping.

(Unless we see a massive and dramatic 360' change in immigration policy by the Bush Administration - you can bet your bippy the chances of a Republican sitting in the White House in 2008 are very, very slim.)

Even the liberals get it folks. This is from a CNN call in talking poll . .

Not just the date rape drug --- LSD and other drugs can be slipped into drinks --- and I know quite a few people who have had this done.

I guess some of the people I associate with have gone to parties and parties where drugs are being used --- well --- I've been to parties where drugs are used myself --- and sometimes you might not even realize it --- except for people are getting up going to another room with the door closed --- but if you ask -- they'll tell you the lines of coke are in that room. Cocaine is so addicting at least to some --- that the first dose is the one that hooks them --- "the lie" of cocaine. The first high it gives is the best --- and with the others they're just chasing the first one.

It's also contained in the songs they listen to. It's not hard to figure out what Jefe de los Jefes is all about. And El Rey de los Cielos was about Amado Carrillo Fuentes --- who many say is still around.

"and with the others they're just chasing the first one."

My Lord, that's so correct, but I've never thought about it like that!

I've worked with a lot of cocaine addicts who were dual addicted with alcohol, and I know exactly what that means.

I've decided not to be out much until all this is over. I certainly will not be going close to the border. With a threat like this, it can happen on either side of the border.
