One important piece of advice --- if you're driving near the border or anywhere near it --- don't drive a vehicle a drug cartel member or family member of one of them might drive --- drug cartels are pretty careful to get the right target -- but every now and then there is a case of mistaken identity. That means you're safer if you drive an affordable car.
I've decided not to be out much until all this is over. I certainly will not be going close to the border. With a threat like this, it can happen on either side of the border.
