SAN ANTONIO -- Valley authorities are on alert tonight after the FBI San Antonio office receives "credible information" of a threat to kidnap agents and kill them.
The Gulf Cartel is believed to have massed armed men, with visas and passports, along the border to come into the United States and kidnap two FBI agents.
If it wasn't drugs it'd be something else. Do a google on these guys. They're vicious.
See #37, please.
With a little help from Delta Force, according to Mark Bowden in Killing Pablo.
If Border Patrol agents apprehend a terror suspect, the public will never know, Nicley added.
He said it is possible that one or more terror suspects have been picked up along the Arizona-Mexico border, but disclosing that would let terrorists know too much and the safety of all Americans supersedes the public's right to know in such cases.
This is the closest thing to an official statement on the matter so far. Looks like the prayer rugs found at load-out sites were not just leftovers from a clearance sale at Pier One.
It is always more politically correct to go after the sellers than the buyers. Sad, but true. This is the same reason Afghanistan is the number one producer of heroin and there is great pressure for them to burn the poppy fields. Yet the fact still remains that if we stopped purchasing heroin that alone would take care of the poppy fields. And conversely, as long as there are heroin buyers in the US (by far the greatest market of heroin) there will ALWAYS be poppy fields.
Same thing with Cocaine (which is the major money-maker for the Mexicani cartels). If people stopped buying coke these cartels would lose a lot of dimes.
Infact most serious crime could basically be stopped if the users of drugs/prostitutes/stolen goods etc changed. Almost instantly infact.
However, it is always more politically correct to go after the 'bad peddlar' and not have a look at who he is selling the drugs to. (BTW: Most heroin and cocaine sales (apart from the low-grade 'crack' cocaine) are sold to middle to high income clientelle. People who should know better).
I'll be thinking of you and your son. He's not got an easy job these days.
The state dept issued a travel warning about the Mexican towns across from Loredo, Tx (because 27 Americans have been killed, kidnapped, gone since Sept.) and the Mexican government threw a tizzy fit. Today the El Presidente's office issued a statement [paraphrased] that the USA should stay OUT of their business!
El Presidente's needs to clean up his business....or we should all stay out of Mexico for a few months.
Jan. 28, 2005 NEW POLL UP!
This poll refers to an ID # given by the IRS for Federal tax purposes only. At least 5 states are accepting this ID card to give social services, registering to vote, even sell property to Illegal Aliens. Financing institutions love it and make excuses that this should be legal.
Do you believe state governments should allow illegal aliens to use a federal identification number to obtain rights intended for U.S. citizens?
Yes 6% 156 votes
No 94% 2650 votes
Total: 2806 votes

Show will repeat. It's a good one!
Dobbs is working to grow his ratings. Good.
This is a big problem on the border. There have been a lot of drug related killings this year. So many that the US has put out a warning to Americans crossing into Mexico. The Mexican govenment is furious to say the least. They, the Mexican Government, claims this is all America's fault. They claim that if we didn't demand drugs, there wouldn't be a problem.
For those of you interested go to http://www.el-universal.com.mx then click on the left corner English. There is a huge article about this problem.
I've yet to hear a compelling argument to the contrary.
You apparently don't understand the process of the Drug dealers addicting people.
True, we have had the problem for years but not the violence that we are seeing now. Right now the killings in Mexico are related to drug gangs claiming territory for the US market.
By the way, right after 9/11 the Mexicans got behind on shipments north as the borders were somewhat closed. That didn't last for long.
So as far as I am concerned the argument goes as to which came first "the chicken or the egg".
Similarly, if American jobs, schools, hospital facilities and other handouts weren't so damned attractive to illegal aliens, there wouldn't be any Mexicans in this country illegally...
Same stupid reasoning to excuse the inexcusable.

In my experience, drug users are turned on by other users, not dealers.
Dealers may profit, but it takes a friend to addict you.
Why do they have visas and passports?
Under Bush, they are (his words) "Guest Workers" certainly not "illegal aliens" or terrorists.
Well, they're not sneaking in for the scenery.
