SAN ANTONIO -- Valley authorities are on alert tonight after the FBI San Antonio office receives "credible information" of a threat to kidnap agents and kill them.
The Gulf Cartel is believed to have massed armed men, with visas and passports, along the border to come into the United States and kidnap two FBI agents.

That's what a lot of them say --- I never took it so I don't know first hand --- but they all say the first high was so wonderful, they felt so on top of the world, powerful, popular. They felt everything was fine -- perfect even-- a feeling they wanted to experience one more time. The next dose takes them just under that, the next lower yet. Then in no time -- they're feeling really bad most of the time, and the cocaine just makes them feel a little better than really bad --- but it's a relief just to have that.
Certainly, many have recently been officially discharged and are just waiting for new ID's.
Quite often one leads to the other, and I always had a lot of compassion for those who could handle the withdrawal from alcohol, but couldn't handle giving up the other drugs at the same time. They led a miserable life.
Well --- I know I have far more compassion for the drug users than for the drug dealers. I doubt anyone sits down and decides to become addicted, addiction can take place quickly or over time ---- and it seems to me that addict might be trying to self-medicate for some kind of depression or emotional pain --- the traffickers only motivation is greed. So as much as the narcotrafficking Mexican government tries to blame the users in the USA entirely for this problem --- it's a weak argument. They chose greed and now have to live with the consequences.
I read quite a bit about El Salvador and Honduras being two hot spots for terrorists possibly joining forces with the druglords and MS-13 gangs. Is that where these guys are coming from, or are they homegrown in Mexico?

First time coke users usually can't see that it does anything. It often takes a half dozen times before people actually learn to distinguish the high.

I'm thinking about cocaine --- and like I said -- I don't know first hand but that's what cocaine users tell me --- it's the lie of cocaine they say --- that it makes them feel very good the first time but not after that. I doubt many crack or cocaine or many other drug users actually tried to become addicted --- and addiction for many is the first time --- that's what leads to the second time, and the third time and so on. But yes I realize many people can likely use cocaine, crack, heroin and the others many times without becomeing addicted --- but for many others they are hooked right off --- which is why there is so much easy money for the narcotraffickers.
Also --- I would really think that something that cost alot that did nothing for the first half dozen of times would inspire so many to go on and become addicted. That's why people don't get addicted to styrofoam or wheat flour. You're not going to say "gee this stuff did nothing for me --- I guess I'll buy more and keep on trying, I'll get addicted someday somehow".
