Isn't it just amazing what you can do if you get p***ed off enough?!?!
More likely, he pissed off the mountain.
I guess I'm a beer lover who realizes that a few might be good for calming the nerves, but that getting blasted and possibly passing out in a cold car might not exactly be the best way to keep yourself from freezing to death.
"59 bottles of beer on the snow. 59 bottles of beer...."
Rotating in 3, 2 ... ;-)
This sounds like a plot line from a new McKenzie brothers movie.
I was amazed at how close they were. I'm sure we were both copy/pasting at the same time!
The big problem I had was finding the post button, did they hide it? I had to go looking on the home page, which I never go to anymore. What they should do is have the post button appear only after you search for something. That would make everyone at least pretend that they did search before posting something. I hate reading a headline, and think that something new happened, only to find out it is the same story we were discussing the day before.
Slovakian ingenuity! All that yellow snow!
Sixty bottles of beer in the car;
Sixty bottles of beer;
Drink one down,
Pee in the snow;
Fifth-nine bottles of beer to go.
Best Avalanche Ever!
Given 60 bottles @ 12 oz (.36 L) each we have over about 21 Liters or 21000 grams. For a 46 (25C) degree rise that equates to about 500,000 calories.
His caloric intake would be about 9000 calories.
I am not sure if this adds up.
"Wouldn't pouring the beer directly on the snow have almost the same effect?"
Where's the fun in that?
LOL ping!
Hey - if this strategy can save lives, let it be posted half a dozen times!
Even more than that! The article said these were half-liter bottles of beer!
I am not a PHD but in 72 I show that he would have to burn over 500,000 calories to keep his body temperature normal (assuming 50 degree beer per another poster). There is about 150,000 calories available in the body via fat, protein, etc (if anyone has a better number, chime in) and the 9000 calories from the beer, he has a net loss of about 350,000 calories plus his heat loss calories would put him into severe hypothermia. Better minds please verify.

LOL Maybe we ought to hit the "REPORT (alcohol) ABUSE" button.
