Welcome to FR.
You should lurk more before you post. 'Pod.
Thanks for the welcome. But why would you presume to know how much or how little I've been "lurking" before I posted? How would you know, for instance, that I hadn't been "lurking" daily for two years before I signed up to post? How much "lurking" is required, exactly, to meet your threshold of acceptability?
None of that is relevant anyway, because the reality is that I've been posting here for ages -- just not under this screen name. (I've adopted this new handle to match the name I'm now using at my new blog.) In fact, from checking your profile, I see that I was patronizing Free Republic well before your own sign-up date of April 1998.
The real question, though, is why you'd have any interest in my lurking-to-posting ratio in the first place.
It's clear that one thing never changes at Free Republic, regardless of the year or screen name: Too many responses focus on other users rather than on the actual arguments presented in their posts.
Many people lurk quite awhile before they sign up and begin their active particiapation with FR.
