All excellent points, of course, and I don't disagree with you--mostly saying that I felt sorry for kitty. I grew up raising poultry and we had to do some nasty things... When you have a few pets... you can give your heart out to them... but if you care for too many pets, you start seeing them as a commodity (which is why I dropped my fish-breeding hobby). It's only natural that vets and to a certain extent doctors seem rough and uncaring from our eyes... only the most resolute person could have the same amount of empathy for 200 clients as for 1 person.
Unnngh.. just realized that you were a vet... sorry!
My mom is bipolar. It's a mental illness. She has plenty of worthwhile opinions. Some others, not so much. I'm pretty sure I could trust her opinion about those spouting off as you have.
thanks for the informative post... I'm sure the whole point is to get people to stop using sheep products
The cost of the wool would be prohibitive. Libs like to spend other people's money.
excellent example of an apples to oranges comparison. Bipolar people tend to be mostly normal with occasional swings to manic or depressive. Length and frequency of swings is variable from person to person, and even in the same person due to external circumstances. In their lucid moments they are perfectly normal and trustworthy.
Similarly, an alcoholic who has been sober for a while (say a 12 month AA member) is probably pretty trustworthy but a drunk alcoholic isn't.
SADs however are SAD all the time, the disease colors every facet of their lives until they decide to get well. They are like alcoholics who never dry out. Therefore their opinions cannot be trusted.
My thanks for your opinions dressed as facts.
Everything I stated is supported in the database. SAD is a particularly well understood mental disease if you take the time to read the studies and open your mind to the fact that maybe, just maybe, they really aren't born that way.
My brother is afflicted with SAD and he will turn back flips to justify his lifestyle as normal even when all the dtata is against him. His obsession with his lifestyle colors every facte of his life.
So I have experiential and academic infornmation from each side of post 67. No opinions. Just facts
My dad used rubber bands on his bulls this past year to neuter them. It is more painful for the guys (my husband) trying to wrestle them to the ground. My dad then suggested that they use the headlock to hold the bulls. My husband thinks my dad is still laughing at him. LOL!
I maintain the worst job I've ever had was holding the screaming pigs so they could be neutered. I will never forget watching the pig lice, and praying the nasty looking things didn't wander off the piglet and onto me.
