QUOTE OF THE DAY: In my State of the Union, I'm going to talk about the strengths of our country, the economy and our military, and we intend to keep it strong to keep the peace. But the true strength is the fact that we've got citizens from all walks of life who are willing to volunteer a thousand hours a year to make somebody's life better.

Good evening rintense. Thanks so much for the Dose tonight. It really is my sanity island after I spent too much of this day immersed among the rabid types who regularly appear on any thread having to do with illegal immigration. The dude who caused those trains to derail yesterday turns out to be an American citizen of Mexican descent. The rabid types (for whom restraint of any sort is considered a disease) are quite disappointed he is a citizen. Sigh.

Lots of good photos today. I love the first one. He looks wonderful: happy, relaxed, confident.

I'm involved as a volunteer in a number of community based organisations, and year after year we find it harder to get people involved in a non-fee paying basis. However, I truly believe there is MORE to be gained - both spiritually and in terms of self-worth - by giving something FREELY of oneself for the benefit of others, and the greater good of the community.

President Bush just keeps looking better and better with each passing day. Leadership definitely agrees with him. May God protect him and his family.....
