carter: arrogance of the left personified.

failed president
failed ex-president

Everything he supported failed.
Everything he espoused was a failure.

I guess it just breaks my heart to think of him, or any president, as a traitor.

Are we going to see this traitor get his due before time takes justice from us?

Remind me, when did Reagan travel to foreign countries to oppose US policy?

I think the term traitor fits Carter, with his knee-jerk anti-Americanism, whether you agree or not. There have been quite a few traitors who served in the US armed forces.

Suggest you hang out here for about a year and learn history from a lot of seasoned folks here on FR, most of whom are history buffs, and military vets.

Some of your comments are being perceived as a supporter of an anti-American former president Carter. Carter has caused tremendous damage to this country.

If you fail to do your homework, you will be perceived as a DU lurker.

Ergo, you may want to cut back on the throttle.

Do what you will... I will observe, and follow your mis-guided dialogue/arguments. IMOHO.

BTW, Were you of age to vote in 1972?

In Iceland, he certainly was way beyond "policy", unless that is a paradox or oxymoron... I'm not saying Carter should be cozying up to enemies of the US, only that its not that simple sometimes.

"Reagan posed with Gorby when he thought it would help."

Reagan posed with "Gorby" and then beat him bloody. Carter ,on the other hand, poses with the worst dictators on the face of The Earth and praises them.

Carter is worse than an idiot. He sells out this country trying to make a legacy for himself and his bruised ego.

Methinks he's either a lurker with the kool-aid mentality and education, or just a teenager parroting his mommy....

He probably wants a carrier named after Carter; white flags, zero jets, and disabled catapults for ecosphere reasons. The ordnance budget would be zip in order to funnel DOD funds to his former buddy in Baghdad, now in jail.

Libs who hate our country, support dicatators, communists, and want to geld our military REALLY P!SS ME OFF! /rant (hope the moderators don't put me on sequestration)...

Anyone who comes to Carter's defence in any form is a lefty. No ifs, ands or buts.

I'm not a supporter of Carter- he was horrible on the job. If people on this site want to call a former president of the United States a traitor, and I object that such a filthy term should not be used except in the most sure cases, it's hardly showing support.

Maybe in the hothouse flower world of FR where only long term membership gives one the right to speak, and then only in agreement with the party line ?

Im a bit of a history buff myself, and no Democrat.

Read the words of Abraham Lincoln at Cooper Union regarding his southern brother's attitude toward the "FRee" exchange of ideas:

"In all your contentions with one another, each of you deems an unconditional condemnation of "Black Republicanism" as the first thing to be attended to. Indeed, such condemnation of us seems to be an indispensable prerequisite - license, so to speak - among you to be admitted or permitted to speak at all. Now, can you, or not, be prevailed upon to pause and to consider whether this is quite just to us, or even to yourselves? Bring forward your charges and specifications, and then be patient long enough to hear us deny or justify them"

I like FR because I can find good debate here- try that on lefty site and the hate rolls in.

I was not of age in 1972, and its always good to have fans ;-)

yea, lets set up a department of peace, and put flowers in our guns, and maybe disarm our nukes first so the other guys will see the wisdom of it. And lets put the UN in charge of the DOD, and maybe the state police too, just to make sure we are being fair to other countries.

Blah Blah Blah. More Yawn.

I hope every dollar in tax I ever paid went into some warhead somewhere. And I dont think my mommy would like that at all.

Problem is Carter is misguided but not a traitor, and people who dont know the difference are bound to make all kinds of mistakes. One after another after another. Then we end up someday with a real speciman in charge. And then you know what? We all start looking like traitors.
