I remember years ago a survivor of Tian An Men told me that Zhao Ziyang was a great hope to them. And they affectiontely used his name which in English means "Purple Sun" in a lot of pro-democracy slogans. I wish the media would give him more coverage. Was he less of a hero than..... Arafat?
Yeah I first heard about him about a year or so ago. It is too bad that he could not have saught refuge here in the US. This would have made more people aware of what type og government rules China. A shame that arafat gets more coverage than this guy.
