My cousin who is a looney leftist artist whack job gave my granparents a picture painted with her own menstrual blood. Apparently, it was to symbolize the oppressive patriarchal society that she was born into. The giving of the painting and the hanging it on the wall was part of the art too. I never told them but I also stopped exchanging Christmas gifts with her immediately.
