Does anyone know if there is a browser for the I-Book that will handle popup blockers? I got an I-Book handed down to me from my daughter with IExplorer 5 on it.

Firefox 1.0 (go to www.mozilla.com - it's a free download)

Does the iBook have OS X? If so Safari will block popups, and so will Firefox, Opera, and many other browsers. If it doesn't have OS X, you really should get it; OS 9 is pretty much dead.

If you are running OSX.1 or above, you have a version of Apple's Safari Browser that has that as an option under the Safari Menu... just select "Block Pop-Up Windows" and you are done.

Yeah. The web browser that Apple ships with Macs, Safari, can block pop-up windows.

I think I know what the problem is: you're running on "System 9". There IS an answer: http://www.mozilla.org/download.html#os9

Mozilla 1.2.1 CAN block Pop-up Ads on System 9 if the built in Pop-up Blocker is enabled - Or look at the WaMCom project for more "Up to Date Code" and a nicer internet experience. I'd suggest you wait a few months for OS X 10.4 "Tiger" to arrive and install it on that iBook. It'll be worth it - you'll be delighted - built in browser "Safari" blocks Pop-Up Ads. (And You'll get iLife to boot!) Enable the Pop-up Blocker by going to Preferences - Then Security - Then Pop-up Ads. iBook is too nice to be playing with that mean ol' I.E. that comes with it.

No Viruses - No Spyware - Stick with Mac: Simply BETTER!

I comes with Safari, which is Apple's browser. I am using it right now, and not only does it block popups, it has tabbed browsing--once you have tried that, you will never go back.
