You can say that again! I look forward to helping a Republican take his job away in the next election.
VOTE DEMOCRAT
Whats up with the back of her hand? Did she overdo the wax removal?
I'm looking for the final vote tote to confirm Nays. Thanks.
A hearty CONGRATULATIONS to Dr. Rice on confirmation. May I be the first to say Madame Secretary! Many thanks to the senators who voted to confirm.
It's almost comical. You never know which way he's going to blast, you just know that he is.
Boxer's too busy trying to convince Trafficant that she's only wearing his wig to give it an outing.
ROFLOL! Good one!
Probably because he's usually so oblivious to the obvious, right?
Can anyone here imagine the national crises if even one Republican had spoken out in such a despicably racist manner were the situation reversed. America's cities would be on fire as I type this!!!
Dem NAYS:
Boxer
Bayh
Harkin
Kennedy
Byrd
Kerry
Akaka
Levin
Jeffords [I]
Durbin
Dayton
Reed
Lautenberg
he is not all bad ......he gave a decent speech today about the BS politics the Dems were engaged in.
She gave Rice the back of her hand, and this is what's left.
Thanks!
I saw a couple of lists of 12 senators on the Live thread, Yours has 13.. and a Laut, to boot voted Nay... lolol
Akaka
Boxer
Byrd
Bayh
Dayton
Durbin
Harkin
Jeffords
Kennedy
Kerry
Lautenberg
Levin
Reed of RI
oh stop.......McCain is not nearly as bad as he is made out to be. He is a media hog though.....he is with the Repubs on 75% of the stuff and made a good speech today.....bash him for his mod side but thanks for giving him credit when he does the right thing
Lauteberg voted No
"The Senate voted 85 to 13," which indicates to many observers that 13 current senators need to be retired by ballot, or failing that, by term limits.
I"m surprised that Evan Bayh voted no........he is usually pretty non paritsan or at least compared to the others here
Well said. The Democrats have been trying to keep black people on one plantation or another for over 200 years. And, if any escape, as in Dr. Rice's case, they try to lynch them.
If I were her, I would have excused myself from the proceedings and requested a weeks recess until the Democrats could fashion a proper scaffold and hangmans rope.
Thanks!
