Biden said he'd be voting for her (and he did) but he defended the right of those who intended to vote no for doing so.

Good grief. Nobody is complaining about the length of the debate, but rather that it was no debate at all. Reid is an excellent follow up to Daschle.

Reid often filled in for Tommy last year .. very really did Tommy come to the floor .. only when he had too

RE: 2008...Bayh just moved to appeal to the left-wing Dem primary voters, while Hillary just moved to the Right by voting Aye.

I agree with you that Dr. Condolezza Rice would make an excellant choice to run for President of the U.S. In fact, I suggested on my Blog Site that she would be an excellent choice to run as GWB's Vice President.

You mean, "Osama Obama," as Ted Kennedy called him?

Evan Bayh voted AGAINST Rice? (I just got here)

That confirms it...he's running for the Dim nomination in '08.

I kind of respected him...thought he could be brought over from the dark side.

Loser.

With this vote Bayh is casting his bet that things will get worse in Iraq by '08. He'll then be able to say he voted against an "architect" of the Iraq policy. Look for more leftward movements from him. He'll surely scurry back right though once the new Iraqi government starts to stand up. It's pathetic that he would bet against our troops but I think that is exactly what he's doing. BTW, Kerry is doing the same thing.

Eric is a pain in the butt isn't he? The only good thing about seeing him, is that his rude, disgusting behavior gets exposure. Now he's saying that blogs coming out of Iraq are probably covert CIA operatives. The other guy just called him a tin foil hatter!

He's an angry asshole. Watch for flames.
