Laura Bush "pitied" for not being Co-President
The American Thinker ^ | jan 26, 2005

Posted on 01/25/2005 1:05:54 PM PST by llevrok

In the column, Ms. Ager claims that while First Lady Laura Bush seems friendly and well-read, it disturbs her that Mrs. Bush is such a popular figure throughout the country in spite of public ignorance as to her feelings on the latest federal highway project or her stance on Supreme Court appointments.

I for one am thankful that the current First Lady is a woman of unfathomable class who feels no need for power grabs and endless micromanagement.

I pity Laura Bush too. I pity her having to put up with idiots like the column writer. :)

Ager's a knee-jerk moron. I know people who've had e-mail exchanges with her about columns. In one case she told a father of an out of wedlock child, upon the occasion of the parents getting married, that out of wedlock kids still bear a stigma and that the child may have been better off having been aborted. She's a vile leftist twit hiding behind a grandma-ish photo.

"A woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle".

Ah, they can not exist without one another, try to have a baby without one another, no man no baby - no woman no baby.

Just trying to show what a stupid statement you made or maybe you did'nt know.

Auger's looking for another manipulative, morally-lacking, ethically-challenged political marriage like Hitlery Clintoon. Laura Bush is a heck of a lot smarter and Laura's marriage is nothing like the Clintoons. The Bush's actually love each other.

Laura is a lovely first lady and I am very proud of her. President George Bush is a lucky man.

It simply shows that Mrs. Bush understands what elective government is all about, accountability to the voters. Unlike a certain former First "Lady" (to dilute the term a bit), Laura Bush knows that she wasn't elected to any public office. For matters of public policy, decisions as to their bases and implementation are best left to the legally elected representatives of the people.

Oh, oh, oh..if only 'Momma T' was in the White House now.

Seriously, the internal beauty of conservative, moral women is striking. For those that can see.

I'm now cooking pasta for dinner.

Dear American Stinker,

Laura Bush is the epitome of First Ladies.
I'd like to believe she represents the very best qualities of America's good women. Every American man should be so lucky as George W. Bush.

We, as a nation, are lucky to have her.

The Hellbeast represents the lowest incarnation possible.

Actually, what I resent is when the first spouse DOES think that they've been elected along with their spouse to some position of authority (see Roslyn Carter and "Health Care Queen" Hillary Klinton). For a first lady to act like the President's wife is no shame at all.

Which is the reason, I suspect, there was such discord, public and private, in the Clinton White House. Having loose cannons flying about is generally a prescription for disaster.
