Here's a good suggested read if you want a good book that will interest you far beyond the discussion here. The Metaphysical Club by James Menand.
In it, he describes the decision of Oliver Wendall Holmes to volunteer to fight for the Union in the Civil War. A lot of the population in Boston were against slavery, but had no real desire to see their source of raw materials such as cotton or agriculture interrupted.
His family members and social companions all told him the war was an inconvenience and that while slavery was a bad thing, people in industry had to make a living. They told him it was one of those things, you did what you had to do to get by.
Freedom was just some abstract ideal spouted by some political radical named Frederick Douglass. The textile mills fed and clothed people. There aren't many things that will disrupt your life like massive unemployment throughout your entire town, but fortunately, the desire to abolish slavery prevailed. Even if no one in Boston really wanted to give up the fortune they were making off of the slavery of others.
Hypocrisy is a very powerful agent, that I'll grant you. But
a) It doesn't always cut one way.
b) There are times when people will rise above it and do what's right at their own expense. Particularly when that expense still remains hypothetical rather than actual.

Going to share a timely true story...and Hillary Clinton needs to listen up.
Was recently informed of the pregnancy of a young teenage girl. She comes from a practicing Christian family. Somehow the family lost their way and the result is a child within a child. With great fear this young girl decided not to tell her parents and scheduled an abortion. But, the darkness that held her was overshadowed by the memory of light.
This very girl the year before, with another teenage girl, quietly sat in front of the same scheduled abortion clinic praying for those entering the building. The day before her passage of the unspeakable, she confessed to her parents.
Both families support the new parents and the new baby that is to come (albeit many painful tears were shed). And with regret the consequence will forever change all their lives, but a living human being will not be suction cupped out the womb to it's death and disposed. In the end a baby will breathe it's first breath leaving a mother's womb into the cradled arms of love. The way it was intended.
All in all, it was this girl's prayers for others that stopped a horrible process ...a prayerful process Hillary Clinton and her herd will probably never know. But, one day she will have to answer for the "choices" she advocates to millions of women...I wouldn't want to be her.

I cannot believe the NY Times and the Left will accept this. Abortion is their #1 issue.

She offered nothing of value. Just the same empty rhetoric as before.

Now if the 'pubbies REALLY wanna do something, they'd pour on the coal to have someone whip Hill's fanny in her next SENATE race, and take some of the wind outa her sails for/before 2008.
