It's no secret where I'm going to be every Monday night for the next six months - in front of the TV watching 24, Fox's gripping, edge-of-your seat, real-time series.
For three seasons, I've been an avid viewer and I'm hooked once again after watching 24's exciting fourth-season opener last weekend.
As usual, rogue protagonist Jack Bauer, played by Kiefer Sutherland, is breaking the rules to track down terrorists.
But the terrorists aren't eastern Europeans or traitorous government officials this time. The evil-doers are a Muslim couple apparently involved in a mysterious train derailment and the kidnapping of the U.S. Defence secretary...

I'm totally not suprised, but TOO BAD.
There seems to be some environmental tie in as well with the SoD's son. Maybe that is the upcoming plot twist. Enviro wackos taking over all the nuclear power plants using Islamo terrorism as a cover. Well, I enjoyed watching the terrorists get blown away last night just the same. Good show.
I noticed that too! Their attempt at being fair and balanced I suppose.
But nothing will be enough to placate the Islamo free speech patrol.
I read today that sense depravation isn't considered torture. Did you not see the way this man's "son" behaved?
What do you want to bet that the Secretary of Defense will be found guilty of endangering American interests by profiteering through Halliburton? ;-)

Sec of State Heller is a Republican...the opposite of his son who is a radical lefty.
Audrey Raines (Heller's daughter) is a GOP'er too. Her profile on Fax's web site indicates as much.
The fact that she mentioned the Heritage Foundation doesn't speak badly about conservatives yet. It seems to fit into the story just fine.
Having said that, I will keep an eye out for any any anti-corporate, anti-conservative bias that may crop up in later episodes.
Care to clarify that?
Perhaps they should be more upset with their fellow Muslims than with a TV show.

Got hooked by those two hour sessions on consecutive Sundays and Mondays.
It is GOOD!
(unless, of curse, the baddies turn out to be Halliburton execs or teachers at Bob Jones University.)
