A woman feeding birds from her frozen porch in Hull, Mass. The town, about 20 miles southeast of Boston, is located on a peninsula between the Atlantic Ocean and Boston Harbor.
Ping to the picture.
Yeah, I saw that photo too. I thought it was beautiful. The Korean War Memorial always looks haunting when covered in snow. It almost brings it to life.
Don't mean to compare Texas to Boston but from where I come from the neighbor would have called to let me know.
Awesome.
oooooohhhhhhh
Ice is pretty good insulation, BION.
YIKES I hope they wrapped their pipes.
A little below where the woman is standing looks like it might be a bulkhead, you can see the ice has broken off a bit. The caption also says the town is located on a peninsula, so it would be safe to assume there's water nearby. :-)
Make that 24-degree Florida (Belleview) earlier today.
Most likely nobody saw it. In sub-zero temps, with howling winds and blowing snow, at night, most people aren't walking around outside or looking out their front door or windows to see what the neighbors are up to.
Gosh, I remember Alicia. The hurricane was not that bad compared to being without electricity for 7 days.
Must be a hell hole.
? (scratching head)
Great photo.
This is salt water frozen spray. Look and see the bulkhead dock.
Yes, but if we did...Seattle, Tacoma, Everett and everything along the I-5 corridor would shut down for days.
Not that it would necessarily be a BAD thing...
Maybe so, but at least we don't have killer bees up here.
Oh, OK. Wouldn't necessarily call it a hell hole, though. :-P
Glad to have the killer bees Bagwell, Biggio and Berkman. <sarcasm :)
