Two weeks. I'd bet a paycheck on it.

Funny how the French and German *SCUM* call us brutal, war criminals, waging illegal wars, etc, when they either slaughtered or turned a blind eye to the slaughter of millions of innocents.

I've seen a memorial in Paris. There's a modest one already on the Seine.

Maybe the time has come for real historical revisionism. There were plenty of Nazi collaborators in France and elsewhere. We have this myth of the widespread resistance but a large part of the country collaborated.
Moving to other regions my uncle swore the local Ukrainian militia was more brutal than the SS. He said the local militias did the dirty work on numerous occasions.
The role of collaborators needs get additional emphasis.

No mention of the Roma Genocide as usual. Europe has a selective memory sometimes.

I suppose this monument is even bigger than the one that houses the "French Heroes of WWII" memorial they are building in Vichy.

Of course phone booths are bigger than that one.

I disagree with the french "ambassadors" on this thread and
I AM FRENCH for Bush since a long time!
The new attitude of french government toward US administration is only diplomacy.BARNIER said FRANCE will never send any soldier in IRAK.
CHIRAC since many years deny the evidence, the fact of the christian roots of EUROPE.He refused to mention it in European constitution.
Concerning antisemitism in FRANCE i think CHIRAC is not credible.I don't believe hese words, good words, and i look facts and hese political choices in foreign policy.(note that CHIRAC is not very clear about collaboration with nazi of french people about antisemitism)

This government made everything they could, till lying, till dishonesty, with the help of public media, against the Bush administration and against Bush reelection...

Seems like a french ambassy on this thread!
My opinion is that CHIRAC is dangerous. He is not a good allie for USA and for the free world. He is most likely the allie of CHINA,and "muslims countries"!
During his last stay in CHINA he asked to stop weapons embargo for CHINA,he told chinese he considered US culture as a poor culture(but he forgot our culture is nearly the same!)
I think Mr. CHIRAC is not very intelligent but very pretentious(as was De GAULLE who was the first to have diplomatic relations with the CHINA of MAO)
