Sir,

I notice that your University has decided that it is inappropriate to display "Support our Troops" sentiments on University vehicles.

I notice that your university does not seem to mind taking funding from the Defense Department for nanotechnology research or research in your Brain, Biology, and Machine Sciences program.

Its my opinion that Universities that will not support United States troops, or is embarassed by them, should not receive Defense Dept. funding.

I will write my Congresspersons, Senators, and the Executive Branch to voice my views on this and will spread this information to my friends and family.

I would like to note that Oregon National Guardsmen have been in Iraq serving with the National Guard brigade from my home state. They have suffered several casualties serving alongside soldiers from my state. If you are not proud to support them, I am. We would welcome them here if you do not.
