Interesting you bring that up. A few weeks back, I answered an ad for some furniture that some guys in the Beacon Hill section of the city were selling. Beacon Hill is a largely black and Asian lower middle class area, so I was surprised that the guys selling the furniture turned out the be Neo-Nazis, with a swastika in their living room. Kinda strange , as Seattle is a VERY liberal, gay heavy city. The ironic thing is that these guys, like other Neo-Nazis, looked no different than many of the gays I would see in Chelsea or Capitol Hill.
In places like Spokane, or parts of Idaho and Montana, you have places where the main industries have died off. Any young person with half a brain or a good work ethic tends to flee such communities, leaving behind old people and "left side of the bell curve" younger people without the talent or initiative to leave. The latter tend to get involved in drugs, join biker gangs, or skinhead movements.
In the case of the compound at Hayden Lake in Idaho, you essentially had a community of Skins from places in California who wanted to create their own "separatist nation" away from the so-called "mud people" they fled. Now that land is getting more expensive and retirees are moving into that area, I guess they have to move to North Dakota.
The Pink Swastika is must reading on this subject. A lot of people think Nazi's were against homosexuality, but they were run by homosexuals.

A long time ago I worked with a guy who was a part-time fireman. The city's largest homosexual area was where he received emergency calls.
He explained how that they frequently received 911 calls from these perverts engaging in sexual exploration that went awry (even more than they intended).
On several occasions he had to wait for an ambulance to come HELP remove a rodent from a homosexual man's anus. These men sometimes inserted live rodents into their rectum after binding their (rodent's) mouths with rubber bands.
Please do not ask me how this is supposed to enhance their sexual gratification. I don't know. I don't want to know.
Sometimes the rodents would manage to get loose and start gnawing inside of these men. The rats were just fighting to survive, but the men would end up screaming in agony, begging these firemen to get it out of him.
They would not do it though, they just waited for the other medical emergency workers to arrive.
The portrayal of homosexuality as being similar to loving, monogamous, sexual relations between a husband and wife, is a complete lie.
The act of sodomy itself is a sickening abuse of the body, but it opens the doorway for even more sexual perversions which are sometimes almost too repulsive to even describe or believe exist. But they are well documented.
I believe in helping homosexuals who are willing to be helped. Beyond that, homosexuality does not need special protections or rewards.
