Now, Byrd might not be a racist today.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Ha ha ha ha ha ha.
Oh my my
Yep .. the gloves are off
Yep. His hood is on.
You know, maybe if Mr. Byrd was a brief member of the KKK and turned state's witness on a public platform based on his personal shame and disgust, would I believe him, but the whole "Grand Kleagle" (head recruiter) thing just makes me cringe in validated doubt.
I still don't get that acronyn, "PEST"?...None of my Republican friends are distraught and in need of therapy, therefore, wouldn't it be more accurately "PUSS" (post-unelected stress syndrome)?
If Robert Byrd was a republican he would've been driven out of politics by the media 25 years ago. But since he doesn't wear his white robe in public anymore, and only shows his bigotry in his public statements, the media gives him a pass. Too bad Trent Lott and Jimmy the Greek were held to different standards.
Robert Byrd is a stain on our Republic and much like the Clinton's, he will be sited as one of those who helped bring about the fall of the democrat party
Ahh, forget it...PEST, PUSS, PUS...it is all the same to me...:)
The lunatic left strikes again. If it's from there party anyone with black skin is beyond question or reproach.
I still think he asked for more time so he could get out his dictionary and look up about half the words she used in her testimony.
Robert Byrd wasn't only a member, he was a KLEEGLE.
He RECRUITED for the KLAN.
He still uses the word "nigger" today. He defends the practice by saying that there are white niggers and black niggers.
My thoughts exactly , being in the clan is a different mindset than calling a few blacks, spades. W Virginia is still a very racist state and thats what keeps Sheets in power.
If Robert Byrd had switched parties and become a Republican as Strom Thurmond and David Duke had done, we would have heard nothing BUT how the Republican Party is the party of racists.
Yup, You are 100% correct
If Byrd has reformed from his racism, can someone explain to me why in 2001 he felt the need to use the term "nigger" repeatedly in an interview?
Well, I'd argue that Byrd's consistent re-election is more a sign of his pork barrel skills and union politics then anything else...
It's a combination of all three.
The Democrat Party is anti-Black and anti-immigrant. It strives to keep Blacks dependent on government services while taking their votes for granted and favors illegal aliens over deserving people seeking citizenship within the rules. That they continue to tolerate this garbage proves (to me, at least) that they're no better than the julip-sipping plantation owners of an era I thought we evolved beyond.
