I heard something on the radio today about Condi looking very nice ... I thought the comment was about her being seen at the Inaugural ball, but I may be wrong. Has anyone seen anything like this?
On the other thread, is it revealed that the two of them say they are just friends, and that he is separated but legally married? Just wondered...

Domingo, a San Francisco-based evening gown designer, took on the challenge of dressing Condoleezza Rice, who by now is synonymous with a succession of prim and proper suits. Rice wore a plain knit suit, rather than a ball gown, to the inaugural ball four years ago. Come on, Condi, let's play dress-up this time around.
Domingo created two looks for President Bush's long and lean confidante and Cabinet member, a black velvet sheath and a platinum silk mermaid gown.
"She always wears her blouses buttoned up to her neck,'' Domingo says, "but then I saw a picture of her giving a piano concert with Yo-Yo Ma, and she was in a strapless ball gown, and she looked great.''
He decided to put her in a very slinky black velvet gown, with a large platinum sash, or alternately, a skinny platinum silk charmeuse mermaid gown, with two thin leather strips across the bodice. "The leather strips are adventurous, sexy, the gown shows her shoulders and her figure,'' Domingo says. "I'd like to see her in sheaths, rather than in A-lines.''
The black velvet gown has a fitted bodice; two sparkly pins anchor the straps to the bodice and the waist and hips are accented with a dramatic platinum satin sash. "She really has this Audrey Hepburn neck,'' Domingo says, "if you look at pictures of her in a gown, so I wanted to show it off. And I gave her some hips by adding the sash.''

When I read it a few posters said they had been seeing each other for a little while. Yes, someone said that he was in the process of divorcing. If they're friends, or friends who intend to date one day, great. Someone asked who he was, I was just passing on what I had read.
You just had to do that!

Do we have a pic of the two of them? I don't recall what he looks like..but I do remember that he caught my eye :-) I would also like to see a pic of Condi in her dress....

I have been on threads where this was discussed. FReepers in the know just said all they would ever say about their relationship is that they are friends. That it was known that he is separated, and from what I understood, all of this has gone on for a long time. Somebody said 6 yrs., or 9 yrs. - somewhere in that time span. And they have gone together to public events, but he is just a friend who is escorting her, so they explain. Which has gone on and on and on.
Had not heard the part about him divorcing.
Those girls need some fashion help. How about queer eye for the Bush girls? What is with that black belt? The blonde looks good there though. I can never remember which is Jenna and which is Barbara.
I love the color of Lynn Cheney's dress. And Laura looked wonderful, but I would have liked that same dress in a more vivid color. The white Inaug outfit was superb however. And the twin Barb always wears lite colors,,,I don't like her in those, think she would look better in more vivid colors too.
