Was in attendance last night.

The place was packed.

Perhaps a dozen of us were in uniform - mostly Army with 2 AF guys and 2 Marines.

The food was great, the music was outstandinging and the speakers were exceptional.

There was a news guy there (at least He appeared to be such with a camera man) asking for interviews. He interviewed Jim Robinson as well as me and several others. Questions he asked were: (NOTE - THIS IS FROM A FOGGY MEMORY, so the questions will be more intent than actual)

What does free republic mean to you?

What do you think is The best thing Free republic has done? (ANSWER: Takeing Dan Rather down. {Delivered with a GWB smirk}

As a reservist, do you think that the constant moving reservists in and out is tantamount to a back door draft (Answer: categorically no. Also, when you put on the uniform, this is what you do. You get your orders, you go. This is what we train for.)

A few more not really amounting to much.

What else to say?

I saw him and wondered. Did you catch what organization he was with?

Yes, thank you, you've been very informative. For months, we've been hit with ads to attend the FReeper Ball, but we have no reports, totally different than the 2001 Ball, there were up to the minute photos, on site threads, etc. This time, nothing. Those of us who could not make it and wanted to attend looked forward to reports, and a scattering of photos, we got nothing.
