"Mickey" was written by Mike Chapman and Nicky Chinn, the team that also wrote "Love Is a Battlefield" for Pat Benatar ... supposedly the song was going to be called "Kitty," as sung by a man to a woman ... Toni's "Mickey" video of "Mickey" landed in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as an example of a "one-hit wonder," and in 2001 VH1 named it the #1 one-hit wonder of all time ... it also got one of the greatest kudos possible for a song -- a parody version by "Weird Al" Yankovic, this one called "Ricky" and working on "I Love Lucy" themes ...
Other one-hit wonders:
"Moonlight Feels Right" by Starbuck
"Afternoon Delight" by Starland Vocal Band (possibly the worst song ever written)
"Dream Weaver" (don't remember who did it)
But those were all probably late 70s rather than 80s
