The 'nonexistent' WMDs give us an excuse to deal with Syria as well.

ROFL....hilarious that Farah makes it look like he has all these secret contacts and sources. He apparently just plagarizes obscure two-week old newspapers.

Anybody actually paying money to subscribe to this clown's pretend intelligence reports is being defrauded.

Wasn't she the one who said "punish France, ignore Germany, forgive Russia", IIRC ?

Forgive them, sure. But they were being given a chance at cooperation when she said that. I think the grace period may be running out.

No surprise here. Syria will get missles somewhere...to counter Israel's threat to bomb Iran if the Iranians continue with there nuke program. Which way do the prevailing winds go in that part of the world? Nuclear radiation left from an attack against Syria would drift where?

Byrd is a turd. We'll see how Bush's 'negro house girl' handles this development.

Syria has plenty o' missles already.

Prevailing winds are highly variable and depend on the season.

Indeed. I hope Dr Rice does not have a forgiving streak a mile wide, since :

- Russia sells advanced weaponry to China (no embargo there)
- Russia sells advanced weaponry to Syria
- Russia is suspected of having provided Saddam with WMD
- Russia is suspected of having spirited the WMD out of Iraq
- Russian security services are involved in Ukraine
- Russia provided Iran with nuclear technology

Re #2

Nothing like an old client. First, Kim Jong-il(trying to fix a summit with S. Korean pres at Moscow), now Bashar Assad(more war toys with a nice bonus attached)

Bukovsky is right. Vlad is full of old KGB mentality. Now that Russia is flush with oil cash, he wants to show his true color.

Israel is more worried about its own technology being incorporated into the systems.

Fair game to me.

This was originally US technology and now it seems as though the Israelis were transfering it to the Russians as well (as the Chinese which we found out about before.)

Agreed. But in the long run, I'm still more comfortable with Condi than Powell. I think this pattern will come to a head soon.
