FEDS NOW HUNTING 14 'BOMB' SUSPECTS (Boston)

The number of Chinese nationals being sought for questioning in Boston's potential "dirty bomb" attack has risen from four to 14.

The FBI added 10 new names to its manhunt list yesterday, based on information from the same anonymous tip that led authorities on Wednesday to first reveal details of the purported plot.

The tipster, calling from Mexico, told cops that he had smuggled the would-be bombers into the United States, and that they had passed through New York en route to Boston.

There, the tipster claimed, the terrorists planned to detonate a "dirty bomb," an explosive laced with radioactive material. The tipster even named a specific chemical he said the terrorists were bringing in.

But authorities later realized the chemical, "nuclear oxide," does not exist.

They are stressing the tip remains uncorroborated and that no credible evidence supports the plot.

The FBI said none of the 14 had appeared previously on any terrorist watch list.

In Boston, there were visible signs of stepped-up security, including vehicle searches in some underground parking garages. The suspects' pictures were posted inside subway fare booths.

"The law-enforcement community routinely receives these kinds of reports," said one Homeland Security official.

When I went to bed last night it was 10. I wonder if the REAL number is more like 140. Just think what they did with 19.

Real number is likely Zero. Read the newer threads. High likelyhood the whole thing is bogus.

likelyhood is not good enough for me. Find them and eliminate the threat by deporting them. then I will assume everything is ok with this bunch.

Its bizarre isn`t it? They always go after the most liberal cities, the ones where they get the most people protesting in support of them. I live in NYC and I think it was 2 weeks after 911 the loons started coming out with their "Bush is Hitler" signs and no war stuff, and this is the people Al Qaeda are going after? Like I said, they`re going after their cheerleading squad. NYC attacked twice by terrorists in yet they vote overwhelmingly for the idiot who is going to do the least to protect them, and my God, look who is Senator!

He is a traitor. Remember right after 911 he started that Muslim student exchange program? "To better errrr know our *hic* Islamic *hic* neighbors *hic*" Of all times to start something like that. What a freggin` putz, a bunch of Islamics students (they went to flying school) just caused the biggest attack in US soil in history and right away that drunken idiot creates a back door to bring even more in. I can`t believe that idiot has been re-elected to Senator in that state for over 40 years. What the freak are they drinking up there?

Translation error? How many ways can the chemical compounds be mis-translated by a coyote/snake head? If someone specializes in smuggling people, will they be smart enough to balance chemical equations? What could he have heard instead of "oxide"?....in Spanish translated to English?

You know how hard it would be to coordinate 4 planes to all crash at the same hour ? Someone was on the inside on this job, they didn't just meet in a coffee shop and arrange all the details for 9/11, there was some serious planning and they had to have access to the airlines in more ways than one.

"Nuclear oxide" is a good term to describe some types of radioactive material that would go into a dirty bomb.

It scares me when our own law enforcement can't put two and two together.

Where are the names and pictures of the 10 just added to the list?

"I have a list..."
