BRITS MOCK BUSH INAUGURATION PLEDGE
Thu Jan 20 2005 23:05:29 ET

Editors of major London newspapers wasted no time mocking President Bush's inauguration address.

Assorted splash headlines will greet readers on Friday morning:

"BUSH: I SWEAR IT'S IRAN NEXT, George Bush pledged all-out global war on terrorists and tyrants," headlines the STAR.

"POMP AND CIRCUMSTANCE, The band played Hail to the Chief. A 21-gun salute sounded. Then, protected by a bullet-proof shield, President George Bush repeated his message to the enemies of democracy," screams the INDEPENDENT.

MORE

The TELEGRAPH slapped: "DEFIANT BUSH DOESN'T MENTION THE WAR, President George W Bush began his second term in unapologetic style yesterday, pledging to maintain his muscular foreign policy and spread freedom "to the darkest corners of the world."

The TIMES rips: "HIS SECOND-TERM MISSION: TO END TYRANNY ON EARTH, Four years ago he was the Accidental President, scion of a ruling family propelled into the highest office more by genetics and duty than by political zeal and ideological mission."

The GUARDIAN: "SMILES FOR THE FAMILY, A FIERY WARNING FOR THE WORLD."

To be honest, I really couldn't care less about the British newspapers. Their schtick is becoming boring. The only reason they even get noticed is because we give them publicity.

What ironies....Bush gave a Churchillian speech today. No wonder the Brits hated it. If it wasn't for Churchill, every Brit would be speaking German today. They would have given up.

(Hypothetical) Memo to the Persians from W.

Dear mullahs:

We haven't forgotten what you did to our embassy in Tehran, or our Marines in Beirut.

Payback is a bit*h.

Signed, W.

The Brits are our allies. The British media, however, are allies with the American MSM. Apparently an attempt to 'divide and conquer' with their stupid interpretation of what was actually newsworthy in the content of President Bush's Inaugural speech.

(Yet another reason why I don't care for the drek that Matt drudges up.)

British newspapers are like the printed version of online trolls. If you ignore them they'll go away. If you feed them, they'll come back for more. They're desparate for the attention, and unfortunately pretend journalists like Drudge will always give them all the attention they want.

Besides, I think Drudge is reading a little too much in some of those headlines.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ..............

History will be kind to Bush. The rest is so much noise that will be long forgotten.

Keep your eye on the ball.

Why, that's only one left/liberal news publication! [And whatever you do, only listen to my noisy rhetoric, and don't see that it's most London news outlets and most public opinion there by far.]

Or I'll just stick my head in the sand when the foreigners who share my paganism hate me (irony, sarcasm). It's more fun to follow that philandering, cradle robbing goddess worshipper on the boob tube with his obsession about only one anti-American country.

Editors of British newspapers are an endangered species that we must protect. Garbage masquerading as news must be protected from the vultures of fair-mindedness and reason.

A "World Wide Fund for British Editors" must be formed immediately. A desolate island must be established to house this endangered species. Heard Island in the Kerguelen Plateau would be an ideal place.
