NEW YORK -- Police arrested state Sen. Kevin Parker on Thursday after he allegedly punched a traffic agent who was writing him a ticket.
The Brooklyn Democrat was charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor, police said. He was being held at the 67th Precinct stationhouse.
Witnesses told police the dispute began at about 3 p.m. after the agent found Parker's car double-parked on a Brooklyn street. When the agent started to write a ticket, the senator allegedly grabbed it, crumpled it up and threw it in his face.
During an ensuing struggle, Parker allegedly punched the agent. Police officers responding to a 911 call arrested the senator.
A message left at Parker's office was not immediately returned. No one answered the telephone at the local Democratic Party office.

The arrogant and dangerous dems from new york..
He'll get off.
I agree... all he had to say to the Judge is that he quickly parked as part of his Senate duties, case dismissed.
Not only will he get off, the traffic enforcement officer will be reprimanded!
Always fun to see the love and peace types put their true values into action.....
Ruh roh! A Democrat SENATOR who doesn't work and play well with others.....
Well, well, well. I guess Mr. Parker has discovered that he is not yet high enough to be exempt from the laws of "the little people."

Heez, it's a good thing the dem judges in Brooklyn are all on the pad or this guy could be in trouble. The thing will stretch out over time and then quietly go away.
Hopefully the cop got in at least ONE shot to the guys kidneys with his nightstick
We have a state senator who used to (in his younger years) drive way over the 55 mph speed limit to and from the capitol and would laugh it off when pulled over by the state patrol. Wasn't anything they could do.
Even if exempted, there's no reason or excuse he couldn't have been civil, respectful and polite to the NY officer.
"They should throw the book at him for throwing the ticket."
ROFL! Someone throws a ticket, someone else throws a book, next thing you know someone throws a whole encyclopedia. Where does the madness end??
"I have already had my Dem neighbor seething mad about Bush today on my Lawn"
What was Bush doing on your lawn, and why would that upset your neighbor so?
