Posted on 01/20/2005 3:22:49 PM PST by fishtank

Let's go!

This needs to be on the table.

Would at least one Christian minister who has the President's ear ---- give him an earful????

Good logic, Paloma. (The "common-sense Conservative" strikes again!)

Turns out I was wrong. Outside of the radio booth the man can be as big of an asshole as you can imagine.

Have you met him? I've wondered about that. I've seen him at one of his Paul Revere Society things in, I think, Fremont, several years ago. Gads. He was obnoxious. He was drinking and rambling, just saying anything that came into his head, and as people got up and walked out, he mocked them.

He's just not deep-seeded

Sounds risque, btw.

I always thought it was "deep seated". Thanks.

It just reeks of the type of PC-ridden, platitude-driven rhetoric we expect from the Left.

Yes, and it does capture the moral high ground as well.

I am a Christian.

I know a "Christian" guy who attends church regularly and cheated on his wife.

I know a "Christian" guy who cheats on this taxes.

Fact is, being Christian does not make you perfect.

I can accept the argument that McVeigh was not a Christian because the fruit born of that tree was poison. I accept that there are people who claim to be Christian but are not.

Then again, I can accept that there are people who claim to be muslim but are not.

I am not apologizing for the Koran, I think it is teaching people the wrong thing. I think it was constructed as a counter to the Bible. I think it is "man made" as opposed to being the word of God.

But I also think that GW has few options. He can embrace those who claim (and ACT) to be peaceful muslims, or he can line them all up and shoot them dead. I think the latter is not feasible.

Have you read the Koran? I have. You could state the same about the Old Testament.

No, it doesn't. America is not a Christian nation.

He insults his callers and talks down to them so badly that I just can't listen to him. Tried to, but just gave up.

Jews and Christians around the world do horrible things every day. All of mankind has its bad actors.

Yes go to both the Detroit News and Detriot FreePress news websites (search their archives) - There are dozens of stories - You can also go to the Oakland Press (MI) they have had numerous stories including Arab & Muslim support for Operation Enduring Freedom -

The fact is the citizens of the Middle East have for far to long been denied the values of freedom and self-worth - But because of our efforts there now.....which go hand in hand with our WOT....the people of this region (Iraq and Afghanistan) are now starting to have these values (freedom and self-worth) - Because of this the World is truly better off.

GWB has lead us with great leadership. We have fought (and continue to fight) the most successful unconventional war in history. We are systematically and deliberately destroying our enemies. We are doing so in the only fashion that can assure long term victory.

But then, I imagine there are Muslims who claim that Osama is not a true Muslim as well.

You are trying to propagate that myth! McVeigh never claimed to be a Christian nor did he claim to do have done what he did in the name of Christianity. Your comparison is a farce. And although there are certainly Muslims who would claim that Osama is a quack, I certainly don't think it would be a lop-sided majority of Muslims.

And that's a big compliment coming from an FR old timer like yourself.
