Let's go!
This needs to be on the table.
Would at least one Christian minister who has the President's ear ---- give him an earful????
"It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ." - Patrick Henry, Statesman and Orator,1736-1799
Bush was elected to push the interests of those who voted for him. If kerry won he would say to hell with segments of America that voted against him and rightfully so. If Bush wants to push the interests of muslim Americans he should not have campaigned for Conservative Christian and Jewish votes.
Hey, Gunny ... if you're in the LA area, and can't get Hugh or want to hear something after 6 p.m., tune into KABC AM 790. Hugh's got some real competition with Larry Elder (same time slot, 3-6 p.m.), followed by Al Rantel, who is pretty good most of the time (6-8, or maybe 6-9 p.m., I'm not sure).
Second, how can I be a liar if I don't know what you're talking about, you foolish Troll?
Third, you've explained a lot with one line "...my wide white butt."
Perhaps if you pulled your head out of it occasionally your butt might be a normal size.
Fourth, perhaps you are the liar, since the AP posted (on www.oregonlive.com) this story today :
Abortion clinic fire ruled arson but not terrorism
1/11/2005, 4:52 a.m. PT
The Associated Press
OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) A fire that damaged an abortion clinic appears to have been a "random act" of arson without any evident link to anti-abortion groups, investigators say.
Check your facts first, you bigot (to appropriate YOUR phrase) before you start blaming ALL Christians for anti-abortion incidents, especially, when they're NOT anti-abortion incidents, apparently.
Anotheer lame attempt at some kind of moral equivalency seems to have failed,
BACK TO THE UNDERGROUND, TROLL!
Good insofar as the abortionists are unable to use that fire to paint pro-lifers as a bunch of religious terrorists.
However, you still fail to address the existence of Eric Rudolph and James Kopp, to name two American Christian terrorists.
Onc again, you silly Troll, you try to say that all the rules and laws found in Biblical passages from 2 to 4 Thousand years ago are in use today, when any Christian or Jew knows that to be a LIE.
Punishments called for in the HKoran are still in use TODAY! Women are stoned for Adultery, men are not, women are hanged for being raped, not being the rapist, and people are still publicly flogged for the simplest of crimes, oh, and they still BEHEAD people for crimes such as APOSTASY, which means leaving the faith, giving up Islam.
Do YOUR masters promise you the 72 virgins and 25 hairless young men?
Me too!
Thanks for the great quote - that's a "keeper!"
I have no problem at all with peaceful Muslims living here. What I meant is that the Koran had absolutely no role in the shaping of this Republic, unlike the Torah and the New Testament. To pretend as much, as Bush seemed to do, is preposterous.
I'm going to re-read the speech, because I must have missed the mentions of Buddhism, Hinduism, Shintoism, American Indian beliefs, etc. BTW, I'm sure that you look cute in your asbestos suit.
If Savage is a "loon," does that make me one as well for using the term "Islamofascist" in a few of my posts?
--- I know it's "strategery", and it STINKS. ---
Sounds like an opinion that is not wholly agreed with.
I happen to think that Bush's speech could have been "I have a dream...that some day all human beings will have the ability to elect their leaders".
This is certainly a Republican principle.
You can argue that it is outside our scope because it involves other nations but that suggests you have never heard the poem "No man is an island".
I think Bush believes that when the middle-east is full of democracies, those nations will be moderated in their political objectives (Killing the great satan will not be worth the loss of stability they come to cherish) and we will be safer.
Maybe he is wrong? Maybe he is right?
The hard part of course, is gonna be making it happen.
We will see how it goes.
You can't be a Christian and have hate in your heart, that's the difference between the two religions. I can call myself a Christian all day and blow up buildings but in the end God's not going to call me a Christian and that's the point.

I agree with your point.
I don't disagree that it is much harder to find a muslim that openly opposes the actions of these extremists. Now the question is why? Is it because there are none as you suggest, or is there some other reason... fear?
If you read the news today, you will see where two muslims had their heads cut off on the street in Iraq today. I wonder if they had openly opposed the extremists?
The extremists ARE in control in many countries today. Until they are over-run, people are going to be afraid to oppose them openly.
Personally, I see a less visible strategic component to Bush's approach. I believe that when the extremists are removed from muslim countries, Christianity will bloom within them. Many muslims are muslims out of fear. Christianity, a faith that is based upon love, will bloom just as easily as democracy. People yearn for freedom, and they yearn for love. It is unstoppable.
Well, it would seem that we will have to agree to disagree, then. I am not up to a big argument today, especially one that it's apparent cannot be resolved.
Have a good one! :)
LOL! I don't think he had time enough for that, not to mention, he wouldn't have to name them individually...people could get the point. :)
I don't know if they make asbestos suits for ladies with magical levitating bellies, but do you think I could find a flowered one? That would be nice. I could get a hajib to match. ROFL!
