Posted on 01/20/2005 3:22:49 PM PST by fishtank

Let's go!

This needs to be on the table.

Would at least one Christian minister who has the President's ear ---- give him an earful????

The Koran and Islam are both alien to America's history, culture, and soul. It's a disgrace and an insult to give the Koran mention.

You can find a lot of bad passages in the Koran.

You can find plenty in the Bible.

The bible clearly says one thing

The Koran clearly says the opposite

The Saudis rule...as does their Wahhabist lobby group CAIR

It was Saudi terrorists who slit the throats of young airline attendants and hijacked
commercial aircraft and murdered thousands of our citizens...

They get deferential treatment...

The Koran and the imams and mullahs of Saudi Arabia were instrumental in their upbringing and education...these were the children of elite Saudis...not impoverished south side Chicago
Muslims..

The Saudis Wahabists are building their mosques and Islamic Centers across our nation and buying up large tracts of rural U.S. property for their summer training camps..

Moderate Islam is Trojan Horse...and plenty of oil money being sunk into the US bond and stock market...and some even more directly into politicians pockets..

What the Muslims are doing here is not a secret...and they are doing it in the open...and with Americans blessing...and they obviously have a plethora of apologists and enablers..

All politicans love money and don't seem to much care where it comes from as long as they don't get caught..

imo

I'm sure OBL has his "intelligence czar" trying to figure out what it was Bush actually meant, and OBL will tell us in his next video. /sarcasm

Let them try, it's less effort they will be spending thinking up ways to bomb people.

Face it, there are Christians who believe in peace and loving their neighbors, and there are Christians who fill trucks full of AMSOL and park them in front of federal buildings.

"AMSOL"? What's that?

If you're talking about the Murrah Building, that bomb was ANFO and ANNM -- and AFAIK, Mcveigh was no Christian.

"Christian" = "Christ-like"

Wisdom should be taken from wherever it is found. All scriptures are useful. I feel it would be as wrong to blame the Koran for things taken out of context by evil men to justify their actions as it is to blame the Bible for things like the Crusades or Inquisitions.
I am firm enough in my faith that being exposed to other beliefs is not going to harm me any, and I may gain some insights from the experience.
Such was a small fig leaf which if nothing else demonstrates that we are more tolerant of different ideas than our enemies.

We are the good guys. I am proud my nation IS the good guys. We will never go wrong so long as we stick to the moral high ground.

Name one thing the Koran or any muslim has contributed to this country. There is nothing of any redeeming value in that cesspool of a book.

He could be praising Bush one minute, and bashing him the next.

And the problem with that is?

If someone agrees with Bush on one thing and disagrees on other, that's a problem?

I can't think of one person on Earth that I agree with on everything. Probably not even close.

Savage understands that Talk Radio is show business with considerable competition. Unless he can stand out in the pack he is nothing. Like the advice given to the Beatles in Hamburg Savage's incindiary comments are intended to "Mach Schau" or make it a show. Unfortunately he is following the Jerry Springer, not the Fab 4 model.

Shouldn't be, no. I can't honestly say I agree with Anyone, on everything. I respect President Bush, even when I don't agree with him.

He isn't the speech writer either, and I am sure when he read this, at least one of the 5 or 6 times he did, he questioned why, and was no doubt told the reason. I trust him to know what is best.

Well, that's the problem. Savage will disagree and agree at the same time on any given subject.

RE: there are Christians who fill trucks full of AMSOL and park them in front of federal buildings

McVeigh WAS NOT A CHRISTIAN.

townhall.com, Maggie Gallagher, October 28, 2002, "Timothy McVeigh, Christian terrorist" explains how the B.S. that McVeigh was a Christian got started.

In a later reply you stated that you accept that he was not Christian. Why intimate that he was?

Keep being a bigot. I stated up the thread that I had several professors who are Muslims. I guess they aren't contributing to our tax base? Likewise, I went to undergrad with some of their daughters. Good, kind girls who volunteered to take care of the elderly nuns at our Catholic school.

Actually that was a comment on those whose knee jerk reaction is to criticize Savage.
