Those sensors should also be capable of detecting any kind of explosive... I would imagine that the detection system could also track these containers across the country with monitoring devices at truck weigh stations or toll booths (add some function to Easy-Pass).

Wasn't there a post the other day about a device that sees through walls? The nation needs to look into this for security purposes...trucks/containers, etc..

Have Scotty make them out of transparent aluminum.

You might be onto somthing there. transparant aluminum may not exist but if there was a plastic strong enough to hold the same weight as the steel ones hold.

X-ray the c4ap out of every container unless they're marked "Do Not X-Ray".

Better yet, fire neutrons through them too. Kill any bioogical organisms and terrorists inside the containers while chemical sniffers can pick up chemical weapons. Radiation detectors for nuclear or dirty bombs.
