I wonder how the Israelis woould plan such an attack.
When attacking the reactor in osirak, or what it was called, they just had to fly over Jordan for a hit a run
Now they would have to fly over Jordan and Iraq. I can imagine Johnny Iraqi would kick up serious shit about it.
What are Israelis capabilites for longer range missions anyone???
The IAF bombed the PLO when they were in Tunis, Tunisia. They have F-15Cs (the Israelis adapted them to the strike role, though they are rarely used for that), F-15Is (essentially the same as the F-15E Strike Eagle), F-16s of various blocks (up to and through Block 50/52), and 707 tanker aircraft, so they're well-suited for long-range strikes.
Israel has numerous options. Option #1 would be to use its conventional and/or nuclear cruise missiles launched from its 3 submarines. Option #2 would be a direct air attack. Option #3 would be a commando raid (or series of raids). Option #4 would be an ICBM attack. Option #5 would be to finance a student uprising/coup, etc...
Same as ours. Paint is cheap.

Not necessarily. In '98, Israel and Turkey entered into a military pact of some sort. I'm not clear on all the details, but IINM, it involved letting Israel train in Turkish air space. (Turkey borders on Iran).
Of course, with the current Erdogan government in power in Turkey, who knows what the state of Israeli-Turkish military relations are?
