Thank you so much! This is wonderful. I particularly liked the pic of x41 and Lee Atwater. And I was on the sidewalk when Pres. and Mrs. Reagan passed along in their car. Wonderful memories!

Great history in pictures! Thanks for collecting those.

I can't believe the error referencing William Taft for the picture of Theodore Roosevelt riding in the carriage for his inaugural! TR was one of the greats! Its like mistaking George Washington's picture for someone else!

Beautiful post! Thank you. I am flying high from that ceremony and proud to be an American. I am also proud that my cousin is one of the many police officers from around the country on duty there in D.C.

President Warren Harding seated to the left of outgoing President Woodrow Wilson. Harding assumed the presidency on March 4, 1923 1921. He was the first president to ride to and from his inauguration in an automobile.

That was great, especially seeing the older ones for the first time.
Thought the one with Clinton was funny. Figures he would have wacko Jacko with him doesn't it? Seems appropriate somehow. :-)

"Harding assumed the presidency on March 4, 1923. He was the first president to ride to and from his inauguration in an automobile."
Actually, Harding assumed the presidency on March 4, 1921. Harding died in August of 1923, which is when Calvin Coolidge assumed the presidency.
