Two more letters have been received by Auburn Journal sister publications claiming to be from the Earth Liberation Front. The eco-terrorist group declared responsibility for recent firebomb plantings in Auburn and Lincoln.

I hope the FBI is looking into that.
Be a shame if somebody started torching eco-weenies' cars every time something like this happened. Oh, there I go again.
I wonder when we will start drawing the line between "honest debate" and "inciting violence".
From the discussion yesterday on this topic, there was a story about one of the leaders of ELF who was speaking at the CSU Fresno on environmental resistance. Some of the quotes he made were inciting violence yet he is supposedly still walking the streets.
I think that the FBI should check out the last 6 months "Letters to the editor" in the Auburn Journal. There are some extreme nutcase letters there. I suspect that the verbage used, and structure of the letters might be consistent with the letters written by ELF.
This is some of the domestic terrorism Algore promised us he'd look into, remember back that far? When ski resorts and Scout camps were being torched?
Maybe we should ask for his help now since he has had a decade to think about it.

Unfortunately, what is becoming more apparent as we watch what is going on in Iraq, Israel, Spain, etc...
It only takes a very small number of nutcases with access to fuel oil and fertilizer to disrupt the workings of society.
Our economy is a house of cards. People in LA would be in riots within a week if the water stopped flowing through the California Aquaduct. The city of Sacramento would be destroyed if a boat-load of AMSOL were to hit the Folsom dam during a heavy winter storm. Such a tactic could be pulled of with less than a half-dozen nutcases.
I am sure that there are many points in our system that could cause major collapse of the economy and the bad guys have MBAs in figuring out where the softest points are.
I am glad I own land with water, livestock, and enough space to grow my own food and far enough from the city that I won't be in the middle of the frenzy if these guys ever get their way.
Oh, and I am armed and have a backhoe. :)
