Boston Officials Alerted About Possible Terror Suspects

BOSTON -- The FBI notified law enforcement agencies in Boston to be on the lookout for several people described as possible terror suspects who may be headed to the city Wednesday.

An uncorroborated report said that four illegal immigrants from the California/Mexico border were on their way to Boston via New York carrying some sort of explosive material. So far, no threat has been corroborated. The immigrants have been identified as Zengrong Lin, Wen Quin Zheng, Xiujin Chen and Guozhi Lin.

"We have no information at this time that is confirmed by reliable sources. We have information from one single source," Boston Mayor Thomas Menino said, stressing there was a lot of uncorroborated information being reported.

Nowhere in the phone call that was routed to California law enforcement officials and the FBI, Boeri said, were the words nuclear material or dirty bomb used. According to the report, four illegal Chinese immigrants were headed to Boston with some sort of material. It was not clear to those trying to sort out the call what type of material they were talking about.

I can understand Qaeda smuggling immigrants and nuclear material into the US through Mexico. What I can't understand is targeting Boston instead of San Diego or LA or even San Francisco if they cross that border. If they wanted Boston, it just seems more convenient to enter through Canada.

Sean Hannity said an ap report said it was 4 mexicans and 2 Iraqis they were looking for that was about 430 eastern

Then they came back it was an anonymous phone call from mexico that tipped off homeland security then the state police to the suspects

This story makes my blood boil with anger towards the politicians in Washington who do nothing about our border security.The terrorist could be crossing our border every day for all we know.All we keep hearing from Washington is that they're taking national security seriously but I can't see how when a terrorist can walk right into the country without a problem.Maybe the four guys are here to have a party with the twenty five Chechens.

Maybe he got real suspicious when he came across four ch!nks trying to swim across the Rio Grande instead of entering the U.S. in shipping containers like they're supposed to.

Not likely. The Muslims in the west of China don't take Han-sounding names. I learned this recently because we have a applicant to our graduate program from Xinjiang province, and neither his name nor any of his references' names sound Chinese. They're odd, Turkic but not stereotypically Muslim-sounding names.

If they are dumb enough to travel via 95/84/90 through Hartford they will never make it. That route has been very heavily patrolled and monitored for years due to the war on drugs.
There has been something brewing in East Boston for 6 months or more. But the guys on the case are also still looking for whitey bulger for 10 years or so.
