President and Mrs. Bush visited the National Archives to view some of our nation's founding documents.
In spite of some Senators Behaving Badly (particularly John Kerry and Barbara Boxer), the Senate Foreign Relations Committee voted Wednesday to confirm Condoleezza Rice as secretary of state; the nomination now goes to the full Senate for a vote.

I conclude that the quality of Yahoo! photos depends on who is screening them on any given day. Some days we get great photos and others we get weak shots with lousy captions. There is at least one person who is particularly snarky when selecting and captioning Bush photos.
On the day before his second inauguration, President Bush and first lady Laura Bush, obscured, view the Declaration of Independence during a visit to the National Archives in Washington. The Bush's also viewed the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and George Washington's first inaugural address, as they began a day of private and public celebrations. They are escorted by U.S. Archivist John Carlin at right.

Thanks. Picture #1 is great - I've right-clicked that one.
I can remember going to visit the National Archives the last time we were in D.C.

My grandpa, who loved to play horse shoes, used to say, "Close only counts in horse shoes." ;-)
