It is delightful to see the Democratic Party COMPLETELY imploding. The people who may try to block the confirmation of Dr. Rice until AFTER the Inauguration, and who are just trying to be, what, difficult are nuts, really. But how did this once-strong Party become so radical in its approach to the loyal opposition? Marxism is more and more to the forefront of the Democratic Party. So sad. So accurate. So disgusting. I'll bet even FDR is turning over in his grave.

Since they do not control the Senate why can they delay anything? Do we still have WIMP Republicans that will not take on any democrat for any reason in fear that they will not get invited to the next democrat party?

The democrats will use all rules available to delay and obstruct... they never learn but I guess if enough of their 50+ million voters contact them then they have to show a little fight.....
Vote Delayed on Attorney General NomineeWASHINGTON (AP) - Attorney General designate Alberto Gonzales will have to wait at least another week before getting a Senate committee vote on his nomination to be the nation's top law enforcement officer.
Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee decided Wednesday to ask for a one-week hold on Gonzales' nomination.
Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., said the committee should not vote on Gonzales yet because the nominee has not yet answered all of the Democrats' questions. Democrats have complained that Gonzales has been evasive with his answers to their questions about White House policies on the war on terror and they want him delayed until they are satisfied.

Yes it is disgusting, however, the democrats are known for their irate and bonafide stupidity. With the likes of old man Kennedy, John ( I was in Vietnam) Kerry, Barbara (botox) Boxer, Joe (I lost my brain) Biden, etc. is there any doubt they are on a downward spiral. Heck, I don't think this group even likes themselves. They'll rant and rave right to their grave! Want to see losers, look at the democratic party. UGH!

The only two Demonrats safe to go after Condi was Head case Babs and War Hero JF'nn K.
That's why all the sucking up by the likes of Biden et el.
This was a Reid orchastrated attack. Good cop bad cop routine.
What needs to happen now is for Colin Powell to call them both Old School Democrats living in the early sixties that still want to attack a person because of their skin color.
Then watch the fireworks. :)

Wow, did you guys see Senator Boxer from California? She sure has some big ones, heh? Just like a leftist, judging a senator's intelligence by her breast size. Must be why they regard Teddy so highly.

"Senate Democrats intend to delay Dr. Condoleeza Rice's confirmation as Secretary of State at least until next week rather than grant her Inaguration Day approval, a spokesman said Wednesday."
Whatever. Frist should just call their bluff. On January 20, after Bush formally nominates Condi, Frist should move to end debate and vote on her nomination. The Democrats would have to filibuster to keep the vote from taking place, and the obstructors would need 41 of the 45 Democrats to sustain the filibuster. There is NO WAY that more than a handful or two of Democrats would vote to filibuster Condi Rice.

If they're in town tomorrow, they're puerile.
If they're bugging out, they're gutless.
Either way, they're their own worst enemy.

Can't Frist call the senate in tonight and call for the vote? How is it the rats can control when the up or down vote is held?
