Not possible. Cannot be true. The exit polls are the only true measure of the vote. The actual ballots should not count. Only the exit polls.

Edison Media Research (search) and Mitofsky International (search) found that the Democratic challenger's supporters were more likely than President Bush's supporters to participate in exit polls interviews. The election was two months ago. It took them THAT long to figure this out? Its amazing how dumb smart people can be sometimes.

Does this mean that Kerry didn't really win?

Did they also discover the overwhelming majority of voters considered the exit pollsters to blithering mindless idiots?

...found that the Democratic challenger's supporters were more likely than President Bush's supporters to participate in exit polls interviews. I would never contribute to an exit poll. I don't need some jagov with a clipboard asking me who I voted for and what religion I am. Worse than mall pollsters...

Edison Media Research (search) and Mitofsky International (search) found that the Democratic challenger's supporters were more likely than President Bush's supporters to participate in exit polls interviews. They also found that more errors occurred in exit polls conducted by younger interviewers, and about half of the interviewers were 34 or under. Not only are conservatives more inherently likely to tell an exit poller to go stuff it, but there are clearly more exit pollers standing around in blue country as opposed to "flyover country". Exit polling is methodologically worthless.
